    Pseudomonas Questions

Thanks for the information. I am very careful with her environment. I missed a spot on her lip where I believe she was bit on her lip by a cricket and then the infection set in. I will see what the specialist has to say tomorrow. Thanks again.

    Pseudomonas Questions

Yes, the vet did three culture and sensitivity tests over our treatment period. The last test was Friday and the results came in on Monday. I am interested in learning a general treatment duration (i.e. weeks, months). The vet did clean the infected area and it is being kept clean. The...

    Pseudomonas Questions

My Cham got a mouth infection three months ago. I took her to the vet who did a culture and sensitivity. Results: Pseudomonas. After four weeks of Baytril injections every other day, he did another C&S. Results: Pseudomonas. The infection had cleared at this point but the culture still shows...

    Sore spots in mouth corner

I went to the exotic vet. He says to keep using the rinse and neosporin. Anybody else have this? I am not so sure my vet knows what he is doing. No offense to him. He only has a few cham patients.

    Sore spots in mouth corner

My cham has 'sores' in the corners of her mouth. When she opens her mouth wide you can see the inside corners have red/purplish spots like a sore. She had this in the end of April beginning of May. The vet had me putting an oral rinse on a qtip and swabbing the areas and then applying...

    How to Cup Feed

My cham would rather starve than eat from a cup, seriously. What can I do? I would really like to cup feed my crickets to her. I have seen her eat worms from a cup, but never crickets. I put the cups in a place where she can get to them and where she can see that they are moving, but to no...

    Gullar region swollen

Chams have a little sack of air under their throats. I was reading about it in the 2008 annual edition of Repitles USA magazine. I think it said that much is not known about the purpose of the sack. Maybe your cham's holding air there. ??? Just a thought.

How to Cool Cage at Night?

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure she was where she needed to be. I just wish I could make it a little cooler for her. TN is not that warm yet. These temps are ones I have set for her through lighting.

How to Cool Cage at Night?

My cham needs a drop in temperature at night. Several books I have read suggest at least ten degrees. It allows for a deeper sleep. Turning the lights off drops the temp from around 77 generally to around 68-70. I sleep in the same room with her and sometimes I turn on an overhead fan...

    Cham Movie Star!

Has anyone ever seen the movie Tears in the Sun? It stars Bruce Willis. If you watch it, at about one hour and eight minutes you get to see a male jackson cham for a little bit. Just a fun fact. If I did not own one, I am sure I never would have even noticed. :p

    Advice for a newbie please!

When I brought Callie home she didn't poop for a few days too. I think she needed time to adjust. Getting a new home and new caregivers would stress anybody out, not to mention chams which are particularly easy to stress.

    Question on odd eye

My cham puffs her eye out and rolls it around to clean it, but it always gets back to normal size. In the case you are decribing, I think something might be wrong. Maybe something is in there are he is trying to work it out, if that is the case the water they're using might help. But if it is...
