I have been away from the forums for a long while due to having a human baby who keeps me very busy.
I thought I would share this photo of my son's great grandpa meeting my chameleon George. He is 90 years old and this is his first chameleon interaction. I think he liked him. ;)
Hello everyone,
I have been pretty low key lately, busy getting ready for a new (human) baby, but I wanted to share a quick observation as it may be helpful for others.
Last year I posted about my sambava panther George and issues I was having last winter with his dramatically decreased...
I have 2 x 35 watt and 1 x 50 watt exo terra sun ray complete set ups I am trying to sell. They were used for about 4 months each.
General info: 2 of them have the sticky backing already used previously, but they also have some small holes drilled in the plastic holder as I screwed them on...
Today George was treated to grasshoppers. Tomorrow we are going to hunt for more as we now have a net to catch them more easily. Needless to say he is a happy guy. Not the best pictures but he nails them quick.
I have several hornworm cups w food to send out Monday or tuesday. Each cup has likely over 100 baby worms. I dumped eggs in each cup without counting so can't give an actual number.
Each cup is $10. PM me if interested.
I have been meaning to write this post, but given it is a long story I had to wait until I had time to sit down and do it right.
Let me start by letting those of you who dont know, I have a panther named George who has had gular edema for about a year now. The gular edema, while it doesnt...
Today while flushing Monty's eye he started moving his mouth to drink, so I grabbed another syringe and filled it with spring water. He totally went for it. He drank for a while. Guess the poor guy was thirsty.

George is having a big shed, he hasn't had a big shed in many months. The last couple were just small body parts. He was so upset, just wiggling, rubbing on branches and opening his mouth. Poor guy. He was rewarded for his efforts with a nice stick bug.
Well, we are getting very worried about our adopted boy Monty. He was treated several weeks ago for Giardia and tolerated treatment well. He has not had a follow up fecal done yet. He did have blood work and x rays done, nothing significant was found. He did have a slightly elevated uric acid...
Well, I made a big mistake and fed my roach colony with non-organic greens that clearly still had high levels of pesticides on them. They were fed late last night and this morning a large percent of my colony is dead. I normally feed them organic food only, but this short cut taught me a lesson...
Monty went in for his x rays today. We wanted to see if he has any deposits in his joints as we were worried about gout given that he tends to hang his legs and had an elevated uric acid. Here are his X rays. The doctor said everything looks good. Poor Monty was a very unhappy camper and was not...
Hello,
Tonight I conducted a fecal float on our boy Monty as the vet is treating him for Giardia and I was highly suspicious of the result, but also figured if I could find giardia that would be cool. Did not find giardia, but found these...what do you see? I know what I see........and it was...
Hello,
Well today is a beautiful 80 degree day so the boys are getting some fresh air and sunshine. I thought this would be a good opportunity to take some pics and give some updates.
Rex: Rex's mouth has healed from the cut he had inside, and he is doing wonderful as usual. He is the...
Things are not going well with my boys and I feel so discouraged. I have spent so much time and money trying to make srue everything is perfect for them and yet here we are. I guess all the feeder breeding, gut loading, fancy lights, outdoor time, misting etc just isnt enough. Here are their...
I am looking to unload some dubias, honestly mainly adults and large nymphs. I don't size or sex them, I will pull out egg flat and put it in a deli cup and ship. I use the small nymphs like crazy so it would mainly be adults and larger nymph with some medium sized nymphs mixed in. I have raised...
