I just offered my Panther a tiny bit of carrot and he ate it. I know Panthers don't usually eat fruit and veg but is it SAFE for them if they do like it?
Am I right with this?
Black & brown Crickets - everyday?
Locusts - everyday?
Silkworms - everyday?
Waxworms & waxmoths - 2 a week?
Superworms - everyday?
Dubia roaches - ?
Phoenix worms - ?
Vet reckons it's not MBD as no fractures and jaw is normal. I saw him fall from the top of his 6ft cage so vet reckons he hurt his back. But I understand chameleons don't fall unless there's an underlying problem.
Symptoms - constipated, dry vent (see pic), won't eat or drink on own, back...
My Sambava Panther Calvin (2 years) has seen the vet 3 times now but I really don't think he is gonna live. He has improved in that he is starting to go colourful again and is not so lethargic but his black legs still do not work and he won't eat (I have some prescribed food for him and I've...
I'm drawing up a feeding schedule so that I don't overfeed (or underfeed) my panther. He is a year old.
I just need to know WHEN to feed him the different species.
So far all I've ever fed to him...
Crickets
Waxworms
Morios
Locusts
What I've ordered...
Lobster roaches
What can...
Ruben & Merlin. These two are the babies of the family. They are nearly 2.
Misty - the oldest at 5. She was mid-chew when I took this.
Emmy (I reared her as a baby when I bred guinea pigs a few years back).
And her more scatty sister, Erin.
Isabel - the bossiest pig I know...
I have a 18" x 18" x 36" cage for my one year old male panther chameleon. On here loads of people are telling me it is too small. But I have been on tonnes of websites and they all say that is fine. So do I really need to make it any bigger?
Please appreciate the fact that I am in the UK...
My 1 year old male panther is currently in a 18" x 18" x 36" aliminium screen cage. He obviously need more space and I was planning to build my own but I've had no luck finding materials. Are flexariums good? I'm hoping to buy the biggest (260 gallon). I'm told they are ugly (they don't look it...
I have wanted to build a bigger enclosure for my chameleon for a while, not only because people on here are telling me to but he also wants to get out all the time, so it must be too small for him. Instead of buying a bigger one (they are hard to find in the UK!) I want to build onto the cage...
Calvin forever wants to come out of his enclosure and I wonder if it is because he is bored of his surroundings and he needs somewhere bigger. I let him roam around the living room but it is hard because he always risks being trodden on by other family members and the dog. His enclosure is 18 by...
Along with Calvin I also have a dalmatian and 10 guinea pigs. They have all been introduced to each other and all get on fine. Well, they pretty much ignore any other species to them. My dog has grown up (she was born in this house) around a cat, a hedgehog, guinea pigs and rats so I knew it...
Is it ok to have the basking light at the side of the cage? That's how mine is.. I know most people put it on the top of the enclosure. He is used to it being like that so I don't know how he'd react if I changed it. It doesn't fit on the top. Is it alright to have the basking lamp on the side?
Calvin is 3 months old. For the past three weeks I've had him I have been worrying because he'd only eat up to 4 crickets a day. But on Friday he began shedding (the first time he's shed with me) and he hate 11 crickets!
Do Chameleons have a bigger appetite when they're shedding? Or is it...
My panther was bought 8 days ago. He has eaten 4 crickets a day until yesterday. Yesterday I introduced waxworms to him (which he really enjoyed) and then I put a locust in. His reaction was really weird - he was showing aggression to it I think.. I left it in there with him thinking that...
After months and months of persuading my parents they finally let me have one.
I have no pics yet! He is still exhausted from moving in so is sound asleep. I will get some today. He is a Sambava Panther.
:)
