I need to re-home 2 beautiful male panther chams. They are FREE to a good home. They both have very striking colors. One is Peanut, he is the smaller of the 2, DOB Feb 2015. The other is Slinky, DOB Nov 2014. Either of them have ever had any health issues or illness and are very healthy. They...
I am always finding dead crickets around and under the food I put in their bin. Is it possible that cricks are so stupid, they can actually eat themselves to death?
I cant think of any other logical explaination for why they died!!
So I like to leave my front door open on sunny days to let in more light.
Had my back to the door, talking to Peanut, my youngest panther:
" Hi peanuuuut, howz my pretty booooy, is ooo hungeeee, does ooo what
a yummy wormie, ooo does, well my doodness, is him a pretty boyyyyy, him is, yes...
So yesterday, all 5 of my guyz wanted to come out of their cages at the same time!!
I have a complex overhead free range that they love.
It's weird, when I am several feet from their cages, they just sit on their basking branches and chill, but when I get close, and start talking to them...
Found this on youtube. It's not in english.
It's about the best cham video I have seen.
Follows the adventures of a group of chams, from hatching, to mating:
It's about 42 minutes long.
Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did:

Are you ready for International Bacon Day?
It's always the Saturday before Labor day, and no doubt there will be lots of festivals and celebration.
A pig wearing a crown leads the march with people juggling frying pans following!! (I'm making that up  ).
I'm ready!! got 2 pounds...
I have a potted ficus tree and wondering if it would live and grow in my yard.
Thinking of climate conditions, I live in Maryland east coast US, and we have cold winters here.
Would a ficus live in my climate?
If not, can anyone suggest a cham safe tree I can plant in my yard that doesnt...
Got a few PM's asking how I make these "IV" style drippers that hang from the ceiling, so, here we go:
First, the stuff you need.
Some 1/4'' soft PVC tubing
A plastic hose clamp
A plastic transfer pipett (cut the bulb off, and insert into the tube)
A plastic bottle, large size Gatoraid...
Can someone please recommend an appetite booster for a young panther cham?
Please don't just mention something you have read about, but not personally used.
I need experienced recommendations please :)
I had a big bag of those Blue Diamond sliced almonds not being used, so I tossed them in the food processor are chopped them up fine.
Then I dumped a few soonfulls in the dubia bin.
Next day I look in the bin and find a few dozzen dead dubia, baby ones, nymphs, and adults, just dead!! :eek...
My youngest panther, about 4 months old, made a sound I have never heard from any cham before.
I was standing in front of his cage, he was in his basking spot, and seemed content.
Suddenly, he made a sound, I cant quite discribe it, it was like a cross between a bark and a frog croaking. They...
"........They had to...to survive"!
The Shining
I didn't realize until yesterday just what my hornworms were doing.
They were eating each other because they ran out of food!!
I didn't know they would do that!
There are several half eaten worms in there, and it's gross!!
Worm guts all...

They had a special sale and I over ordered giant size hornworms!!
Now I have way too many horns that are too large for feeding to my chams!!
I dont want to just throw them out! maybe I could make a nice hornworm pie!!
How big do they get just before they go into cocoon stage?
I...
So, I have everything my chams need when on the free range, except a source of water!!
I was thinking of putting a small fountain, or one of those fountain pet water bowls on top of one of the x-large cages where they can get to it easy.
My free range is suspended from the ceiling, and has...
Smidget is a very small, but full grown veiled male.
He is about half the size of a normal veiled his age, though he is perfectly healthy and active.
Anyway, I figured, due to his small size, he could live fine in a 18 x 18 x 36'' screen cage.
He seems to have enough room to move around...
Had an interesting phone conversation with Bruce, of Chameleon Paradise fame about allowing chams to come out of their cages and free range.
We were talking about their general behaviour, both while inside their cage, and out.
He brought up the observation that chams tend to revert to...
I just ordered 2000 silkie eggs from Mulberry farms.
I have some large petri dishes.
They say the eggs will hatch in a few days and I have read all the blogs here about how to raise them.
But one question I cant find the answer to.
If I put some eggs in the center of the dish, and...
What do you do when a cham is abused by a family member?
Some months ago, I gave my nephew a male panther cham for his b-day, he is 22, an adult. He had been coming over to see my chams, and he loved them. He gave me every indication that he would take really good care of one if he had it...
