Hello all! It is my first time back in a few years and I am in desperate need of your Chameleon ID skills! I bought a baby male panther from a Breeder recently. I was told the Sire is Ambanja but other breeders(friends of mine) tell me the Sire looks mixed with Ambilobe. Can any Ambanja lovers...
So I have been keeping for nearly 8 years on and off now. One of my favorite species is the montane species often called "Rudis" chameleons. There is also a subspecies called "Red" Rudis that is more rare and hard to come by with more coloration and variation. I know there identification is...
Hello all, on the morning of December 9th around 8:00 a.m. my female began digging in her nesting box. By about 2pm she was completely done and back to basking after laying 34 eggs! So I mixed up some vermiculite into three tupperwears and pocketed each egg and poked a few holes. My humidity...
Just this past June of 2016, I went to a well known Reptile shop here in Orlando called "Pet Bazaar"(very good store by the way). I originally went in for some plain ol crickets, mealworms and hornworms for my jacksons and stumbled upon a great collection of Veiled's they had. There were three...
Hello all, Ive been keeping various species of chameleons for over 10 years now and finally purchased my first adult female veiled at a Repticon event here in Orlando, FL this past December 3rd. She was gravid at the time and the vendor told me she was with a male so the eggs would be fertile...

I have a nosy be x ambilobe mix I got in June 2011. They said he was a month old then so if that were the case it should be at least 4-5 months old now. But it still looks TINY compared to other pictures of 5 month old panthers. Anyone know why? Hope some panthers just grow faster than others..
I have a 5 month nosy be x ambanja mix. It sometimes shows red on its throat as well as barring on the body, any signs on how I can determine the sex? And I have it in a 16 x 16 x 30 cage. What size of bulb should I be using as a heat source? Thanks!
