Percy seems to be falling from his jungle gym lately. First 2 times i was home to put him back up in his basking spot but yesterday i came home to find him on the cage floor ...wet and cold :( . I have a vine that extends to the bottom just in case something like this happened but he didnt use...
Sometimes Percy stays in the same place for over a day....is he relaxing or would something be wrong? He doesnt seem motivated to move...at all. I fed him some worms and they are still in his cup from 2 days ago. I hear of all these stories about how lively peoples chamys are during the day...
I have a bunch of tiny flies buzzing around my enclosure (probably from live plants). Should i try and get rid of them or leave them be. My chamy doesnt eat them...they just buzz around like they are in a humid tropical forest!
Hey everyone! I have a Panther Ambilobe Chamy and I have seen so many different protocols for supplements that my head is spinning! Now that Percy is about 1 1/2 years old i know i should change his protocol but im confused as to what. I try and get him out in the sun on the weekends but thats...
I dont seem to find alot of poop in Percy's cage often....maybe once every 3 weeks or so. He is about 9-10 months now and eats well enough when he is not being picky prude. When i do see a bowel movement its very healthy. How much is normal?
A little while ago I made percy a cricket feeder holder with a gallon jug and wire mesh in the back (like the one shown in other threads). I thought...awsome, this will fix the loose cricket in the cage problem. I did this so i knew if he was eating or not. Unfortunately the crickets STILL...
I have fed my Chameleon hornworms, waxworms, superworms, dubias, butterflies, fruit flies and all he ever wants to eat is crickets...UGH. He might not be bored of them but I am!;) What else can i try? Plus is there any way i can cup feed my crickets without them jumping out? Is pulling off...
I just bought a Hawaiin Dwarf Shefferla for my new cage and i would like to put more soil in the pot....im sure there is some stuff im supposed to stay away from because its harmful but I would love some suggestions on what to buy.
I live in Valencia, CA where it can get a bit toasty during the summer. How hot is too hot to have my Chamy enjoy the outside? AND how cool is too cool??
Anybody have any ideas on how to get your baby chameleon used to coming out of the cage? He is 2 months old and is sooo not interested in my hand or a stick. He just turns dark and puffs up...actually hissed at the stick.
Should i keep trying..like once daily? I dont want to stress the little...
Trying to get some pics without stressing him out. Its only his second day in his new surroundings. He is eating and drinking like a champ so im sure his color will get brighter soon.:)
I have a screen cage with a dome hanger above it so my little one doesnt get too hot. Well....just saw that the heat from the bulb (which is a 75W basking bulb) has melted some of my plastic on the cage. Should i just put my dome light on the screen and have a branch 6 " under instead??
