I forgot how much I missed these guys...

I havn't had chams in years... I really miss having them around. But sadly, I don't have the space, time, or funds for a cham at the moment. Someone on iherp mentioned wanting one, and I suggestied (like another memeber) that they visit here. I Will have chams again some day. They are such...

    just stopping by...

I thought I'd look at the forums again. I'm missing my chams. Tey all died of a bacterial infection about a year ago now... I lost most of my herps to that bout... it really sucked. I have crested geckos now, and some snakes, but no chams. I need a bigger place to be able to keep my chams...

    severe MBD in hatchling/juvie cham...

I picked up this little guy at the show... he seemed ok upon first inspection, so I took him home (Sunday). Today I saw the weirdest thing, and can only assume it's severe MBD. He was bending backwards to climb on something and his spine flexed at the pelvic region. By that I mean it bent back...

    Ambanja Male

I'm looking for an Ambanja male, and have been having trouble finding one... anyone have either juvis or adults (I am aware that adults would cost more). I'm looking for CBB or CB, just not ready for a wild-caught adult at this time. I'll entertain reasonable prices. Thanks! ~Chrissy

    reptile rooms/areas...

So, Julirs post has me wondering, what does everyone's reptile area look like? Mine's packed to capacity. If I could take pictures of everyhting in my apartment, I think it would take up all the space in this post, lol. So, Here's one of 3 sides of my main reptile area (formerly known as...

    panther sexing question...

is there a way to be sure what sex your panther is at a young age? I know this is a stupid question, but I had a "female" blue bar sold to me, and it is now looking to either be a ridiculously high-colored female, or a male... "her" casque is blue, "her" chin is red, and "she" has blue & green...

    New Beardie

I just adopted a bearded dragon yesterday, and she is by far my most mellow lizard (she grew up in a 2nd grade classroom). I took her out tonight to give her some attention, and she passed out on my shoulder. She barely opens her eyes when my arm moves as I type... and she's not afraid of my...

just want to show off my guys/gals

I'm kinda thinking they are all a bit small (except for the jackson's girls) for their respective ages... (I just realized I don't have an updated pic of Kermit, my veiled, up yet) This is Flower, about 6 months in the photo: This is Bugsey, 14 months in the photo (tho it does not give a...

    over-sized jacksonii xantholophus (sp?) (long)

I aquired 2 adult female jackson's I believe to be xantholophus (sp?) at a show 2 weeks ago. Both are HUGE compared to the recorded average weights (the smaller one is 117g & the larger one is 225g). They are both about 12-14" (about right for the length stated on the adcham page)... I have...

    coloring question

From everything I've seen & read so far, it seems as if chams come into their colors by about 5-7months... My cham is about 10 months old, and he's barely showing color... tho I think part of it is his insecurity in his new home... but even before then, he wasn't very bright... do some chams...

    rescued veiled shedding question

My young (about 3-4month old) male veiled is taking longer to shed than my past experience (and my gut) is saying would be normal. I'm happy he is in the process of shedding, but am worried that it has taken him about 5 days, and he still has not shed most of the way. I know older chams can...

    Little buggers keep escaping?!

Do you all have any tips to keep crix from escaping? I've gone so far as to move them outside onto the patio, and watch the cham eat all of them before I turn my back, but I keep finding crix all over the house... and both my wife & the roomie are sick of seeing the little things all over, esp...

    patiently waiting...

ok, not so patiently waiting... tho I can't expect much, b/c I just paid for a young cham, and I want him here already... :P I ordered a young male ambilobe, and he should be here on Tuesday. ::sigh:: 4 days to go... I can't wait. I have wanted a panther for SO long, and finally will be...

    confused (or behind the times...)

Ok, last I remember, all-glass cages are not recommended for chams... did I miss something? I've seen quite a few gallery pics with rather large chams (older than I think would be ok to keep in a tank) living in an exo-terra... Does this help with the winter humidity? or has new info come out...
