I have a female Yemen, now 7months old, heavily pregnant, shes now been moved from a 3x2x4ft vivarium to a 45x45x60cm Terrarium containing a bucket full of soil, a few branches and a plastic plant, but shes not been digging, was drinking a hell of alot and now her eyes are sinking into her head...
Probably a stupid question but will a male Yemen live together in peace with a female Yemen?
I have been given a female around 5months old in amazing condition, but my male is a giant and over 2yrs old so I can imagin my male would swallow her, or should I do the sensible thing and keep them apart!
I'm used to handling my Yemen once a week (if that) as he's not the friendliest, and i respect the fact that he will never bond with me but my Panther on the other hand is far the opposite, i carn't get my hands in the enclosure to muck out and feed without him making it his mission to climb...
Ok, so i recently got my new Panther (Draco) around 3months old, and still have my Veild/Yemen (Yoshi) at 3yrs 6month, anyways Yoshi changed from Green to Black once he had spotted Draco and Now hates his encloser, constantly trying to get out, and once out im really struggling to get him back...
Ok, so im now on my second Chameleon, and ive just recently bought myself a 3month old Blue Bar Ambilobe, so far he's been AMAZING :D
Thought i'd share some pics....
I have the height at 4ft and the depth at 2ft next to my current viv and wanted to no whats the minimum width advised to keep an adult panther, i only have 26inch to play with.
Ive always been under the impression for all reptiles let alone Chams that they should be raised in small enclosures as youngsters to make sure they receive adequate lighting and food, then to slowly upgrade the enclosures as the animal grows larger, am i being stupid???
Ok so ive decided, im going to use the Exo Terra for something else, saves me messing around with the lights, im getting a vivarium made to the same sizes tho 45x45x60cm for now as he's still only a youngster, my issue is what lighting should i use seing as the viv is enclosed and the lighting...

Is it natural that my cham always wants out of his viv when he see's me???
He no's his exit point as he ventures from his perch at the top of the viv right down to the floor, then starts scratchin at the glass asif to say i want out!!!! Ive stopped lettin him out lately as my rooms pretty cold...

I may be worrying over nothing but is the line looking like the back bone on my cham supposed to be visible? Ive been meaning to ask for a while but have been waiting for a decent pic before posting my concern!
I no a lot of people cover pots and that to stop there chams eating soil, but what is the down side to this? Surely soil doesnt cause compaction does it? Only my Cham seems to be firing quite a lot at scattered soil on the floor but only when its moist!
I handled my Cham today for the first time in a while and his nails have become so sharp he drew blood when he gripped onto me, i was told that a chams nails would only ever need clipping if they started to curl, but this isn't the case, is this normal? What should i do?!
I recently purchased 10 locust from a supplier I don't usually deal with, when i took them home and introduced them in with my existing locust all hell broke loose and my 10 new locust i bought killed and ate most my originals. I have noticed that there slightly darker in colour with what feels...
I have both a devils ivy and a dragon plant, the odd leaves seem to be slowly turning brown, my temps sits at around 80 and my humidity i carnt keep stable so it varies from 50-60 wich i fear may be to low, was wondering how often i should provide the soil in the pot water as im only averaging...
Well ive struggled to find a staple diet for my cham, id really like Silkworms but there like gold dust round my area in the UK, my Locust have been untouched so long that theyve started to go from large to extra large, straight away once one entered there was no hesitations straight away he...
When i first got my Cham from the store 6months ago, he ate the min i got him home and was averaging at least 6-7 locust a day, then i had a major issue with my lighting around a month later, my bulb had blown and i coudnt get a replacement for at least 3 days, once my replacement was in ive...
