Who is in or close to Pinellas county, FL?

I tried to sell my male veiled, but he started closing his eyes during the day, took a few nudges to wake him. He also isn't eating. Is there anyone who will take him for free and get him to the vet? I would but I don't have the money... I don't want him to stay with me and suffer if there is...

    Shipping my first chameleon.

Can I get a step by step on packing and shipping? He's 10 months, so not a baby, no deli cup. What options should I choose? Insurance? I'm using ShipYourReptiles. I know there are resources out there but I like to pull from multiple so can someone run it down for me?

    Male veiled, 10 months

Love him, but simply too much for me right now, life is moving in different direction. He's not friendly and always hides and I don't have time to work with him. Tested for parasites in March, clean. Not much into worms, though he hasn't been offered silks in a while so maybe he still likes...

    Unwanted bugs

Having a real problem here... All my reptiles (cham, tort, gecko) are in my room, along with my roaches. I've started seeing roaches that AREN'T mine, and now somehow I have mosquitoes. The mosquitoes don't come all al once, they come one at a time till I kill one, then the next comes at me...

Small feeders in a big cage

How would I go about feeding climbing feeders in a big cage? Basil's cage is 2x3x4.5 and he will hide when I come near, so by the time I leave and he comes out to eat, the feeders could easily find their own hiding spot. I have locusts around the house this time of year and caught a few babies...

    I had a dream...

That I found a baby cham in my male veiled's cage. Then another, and another, and so on. Turns out he was actually a she, and had laid eggs in the plants so I never knew until they hatched and came out. Then I was scrambling to find something to keep the babies in while also making sure she was...

    Freshly molted Dubia

So I kept reading that if you can't get your cham to eat Dubia, to try to give them a freshly molted one. Well, I didn't have that problem... Basil ate the Dubia just fine. When I found two that had just molted I put them in the cup with two brown ones, and he ate the brown ones and left the...

    Science question

If we warn everyone about not setting up uvb lights to go through glass because it blocks all the uvb, why are people advised to wear sunscreen in the car because of uvb getting through the windshield and possibly giving sunburn?

    Kinda sad...

It seems like the only time I ever see my cham anymore is when I wake up and look at his cage without moving and see him basking. As soon as I start moving he does his leaf walk into his big fake "tree" and stays there. Sometimes all day. If I leave and come back, sometimes I will catch him...

    No more pictures for me...

Basil has learned the best way to hide from the camera. He gets onto a vine and flattens himself behind it, and if I move up to take one from above, he rotates down still behind the vine, and vice versa. Brat! :p

    Painting the cup?

So I have a clear tupperware for a feeding cup which I thought would be ok because the bottom half is different texture and not so clear. Today and yesterday I noticed Basil is still trying to shoot once or twice at the outside of the cup, but quickly realizes he needs to go at it from above...

    What is this plant?

I got this from my reptile store, asked the kid there what it was, he wasn't sure, but said that all the plants they have on the shelves were safe for chams. Just wanna make sure before it goes in.

    Wrong animal ate the worms...

So I left a tupperware of 3 silkworms on my bed and walked away. Came back and only saw 1, as well as a sneaky kitten in the room... I would assume since the cham can eat them they won't do harm, but I just want to make sure. Anyone know if it's ok?

    Home made cage

So I bought a 2x2x4 Reptibreeze, brought it home and put it together, and the bottom part popped out just from tapping it. So I returned it and built a 2x3x4.5 which is sooo much better. I'm gonna put the wood sealer on it when the weather gets better, then add screen and we're ready to decorate.

    Old cage

Besides another cham, what can I put in a 20" tall (and I think 12" by 12") cage? Something that can stay in that size, I can't take on something that will need a bigger cage in a few months right now.
