Ahh! I remember seeing that enclosure a couple years back. I recall it being more filled in with plants. Unfortunately I understand where the zoo is coming from when displaying animals they have to keep it more accessible for guests to view. I’m sure if you talk to one of the zoo keepers and...
I agree with Beman. Primarily the only species that can be housed together would be pygmy chameleons given they have appropriate accommodations and I believe Mellers chameleons are a communal species as well.
So recently over the past two weeks I’ve been noticing white speckling on two of my ficus trees that I have had for a year or so. The leaves are now showing white speckling along with a sticky substance on the leaves.
I believe this to be a fungal infection of some sort and after googling I am...
I'm currently on the look out for Brookesia species.
Brookesia thieli
Brookesia therezieni
Brookesia stumpffi
Brookesia brygooi
Brookesia superciliaris
Thanks!
I’ve been wandering around my house with the camera recently and snapped a few photos of the chameleons. The Parson’s are literally growing like weeds and are getting quite a decent size to them already. Following the two Parsonii are two of my three Panther chameleons. My Nosy Mitsio and newly...
I wouldn’t put them all together since crickets can start to munch on the other insects. I personally have a feeding chart specifying when and what my pet sitter needs to feed. As long as you explain in detail they are pretty good about it. This also allows for proper gutloading and...
Check out Frank Payne. He is a great breeder and has a site that has entire care sheets on it. Last I talked with him a few weeks ago he didn’t have any available at this time.
Your chameleon appears to be healthy.
Each chameleon will grow a bit differently, just as humans do. Are you sure he is 12 months old? I have had several chameleons in the past that seemed to either be typical adult sizes or my interpretation of an adult size and some that seem to take their...
Thanks Jeremy!
They’re still such a blast to work with. The way they’re growing I expect them to be ready for their outdoor enclosures this summer!
They have such inquisitive judge mental eyes and it breaks me every time!
Quick update on the babies. I was doing some stuff around the house and decided to take some photos of the two over the past week. They’re growing like ravenous weeds and are doing so well!
I have picked out two names that I’m referring to them by. The brown/darker of the two which I’m...
