I just posted a new thread in the Memoriam section but had to put a positive spin on it. I lost my 3 year old Nosy Be named Ego a couple of weeks ago. So sad to have lost him but we quickly decided another male panther from Bruce was in order. He had a male Nosy Faly available so that's the...
Lost my boy Ego a couple of weeks ago. Very sad. He was my first chameleon and was a very sweet one. He was just over 3 years old and appeared to be in great health. He will be missed for sure.
Hello All,
It's been a while since I've posted so I thought I'd post some updated photos of my boys. Mythos is now about 1 1/2 yrs old and Ego is about 13 months old. Mythos is shy so I only got one pic today but Ego as the name would suggest likes the attention. Ego's yellow on the corners...
Like a lot of other folks on here I use a temp probe that i've zip tied to both of my panthers basking area to get my basking temp. In these hotter months I've had to adjust my basking light higher up off of the cage more than usual (expected). As I adjust I keep an eye on my temps and when it...
So after promising my wife that NOT keeping a lid on my superworm bin was ok I was proven wrong. I just got in another 500 a couple of days ago. Filled a plastic dish that is about 15" x 12" and about 5" deep up to about an inch and a half from the top with wheat bran. Found 4 fugitives today...
Ego just after lights on. He's starting to get a nice yellow on his lips. His bars appeared just before this shot. His blue has been magnificent lately.
Just an update on my male Nosy Be Panther, Ego. He just hit 8 months old and weighed in at 88 grams. He still has a pretty hearty appetite. Trying to figure out when to go to every other day feeding. Here is the last pic I took of him a couple of weeks ago.

I am still going through my last order of Superworms that I bought about a month and a half ago. I picked up the bin I have them in and WHOO! Smelled like a cat box (amonia smell). Is sifting and changing out with fresh media the best thing?
Thank you
Mythos was going after some water when he paused and locked in on something. I thought it was a cricket. Instead of shooting his tongue he lunged so I got closer to see what he was up to. He had his mouth wrapped around a section of Jungle Vine and chewed on it briefly. Weird, although I read...
Ok so earlier when I had that spark of inspiration to build new outdoor stand, I had another. Mythos hasn't proven to be the best drinker. His urate is tinted orange so for the past 5-6 weeks I've been trying different things to get him to drink more. I have an AquaZamp with two nozzles, both...
