    Wow, that could've been a line in the song... "She was the brightest green I've ever seen, My pretty little one!" :ROFLMAO:

    Questions about Dubia roaches

    They don't lay eggs—they bear live young. They need to be sexually mature (LARGE) to reproduce, and require quite warm (90-95F) temperatures to breed. They'll eat pretty much whatever you gut load them with. Escape is possible, but rare. If one does escape, they won't survive long. They...

    Bumble Bee feeder

    We just had the exterminator in yesterday to deal with a nest of yellowjackets that had eaten their way through the drywall into the bathroom, so... NO.

    tap water vs. distilled water

    It really depends on where you live, i.e. the source. There may be very little, or there may be a lot. Finding out what is actually in your local tap water also depends on where you live. For example, I can find pages of analyses of everything found in my own local tap water, but I find almost...

    What are Some of Your Favorite Songs and Music Videos?

    I always liked Starry, Starry Night. (both the song and the painting) When I was in middle/high school, my mother bought me a high quality print that I framed, and it hung on my wall for many years. The only constant where posters came & went with frequency. I still have it hanging in my...

    Fruit flies

    I admire what you're doing, but this morning I caught a video on GM mosquitoes, and a project to release them in FL and TX to reduce the disease hazard of the invasive species. BRRRRRRR!!! Creeped me right the heck out. 😨

    Im unsure if id make a good chameleon caretaker.

    Ah, the lizard so nice, they named it twice, eh? Do you think they'll acquire any colors? I'm jealous (not really, but a little... :rolleyes:) If I were better set up, I might ask you to ship me a male... 😁

    Beardies

    Sounds good! Each one is different, but at 18", Ol' Stinkeye ranged from 360-370g. He's (seemingly) topped out at 19", and has been constant at 440g for a couple of months. It's amazing what an extra inch or so can put on the little boogers. :LOL:

    using great stuff foam.

    In addition to different brands, there are different formulations for different apps, so I'm not sure if direct comparisons can be made. Whatever brand(s) you do have available, I think the best you may be able to do is try to match the apps. To be sure, I would do a little testing with...

    At first I thought they were brown anoles, but the head is the wrong shape. Any idea what they are?

    Oh no, this is second time this year light has burned out.

    I used a recessed fixture rated for 75W. I couldn't find incandescent floods anymore, so I tried 75W halogen floods, and they burned out within 48 hrs (2 days—not 48 hrs. of usage). I think they just burned too hot. Then I found some old-style incandescent floods at a store that discontinued...

    best live/air plants to be in the foam

    I like & use Tillandsia (air plant) and Hens & chicks (or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hen_and_chicken_plant You need to wire them in at first (I've used paper clips), but eventually, they'll root into almost anything.

    using great stuff foam.

    Any way I could. If using a false backboard, it should be easy enough to attach via wire or zip-ties. If your enclosure is all glass (I'm doing several things at once here), I'd attach a frame of some kind (see prev. post) to the enclosure frame, and wire or attach the pots to that.

    using great stuff foam.

    I think shipping Dragon Ledges to the UK might be prohibitive, but something could certainly be substituted with aluminium [sic] strapping and a few bolts or screws.

    using great stuff foam.

    I wouldn't. I would secure the pots in-place, and spray the foam around them. I would also use a release agent on the outside of the pot, so it could more easily be removed from the foam for cutting or drilling drainage holes. I'm a believer in non-permanence. IOW, I'd spray the foam on some...

    Why do we use supplements?

    Imperfect memory. I thought he had said they live longer in the wild, but the post didn't bear that out. At that point i was trying to be positive that they can live considerably longer if/when kept properly. I agree, many species lifespans have benefited from captivity, dogs & cats being...
