Does my veiled cham look ok?

I never handle my chameleon simply because he doesn't like it and I dont enjoy scaring him. But I would give him a few weeks before trying to handle him. Try feeding him by hand or with a pair of feeding tongs and get him used to your hand. I find if you take it gradual and dont force them they...

Just finished the bug shed. Finally bugs are outside.

I used inch and a half thick insulation all the way around and then foam boards on ceiling and door and then put plywood over it and sealed it all. Also used a strip of sealant foam on the inside and outside of door so when I close the door it's a nice tight seal. I left about a half inch slit...

My current setup, about to build a custom enclosure twice as big.

Also a lot easier to get fecal sample. But yah standing water never good plan if you have catch basin make sure to dump out and at least give good rinse daily. Standing water is paradise for bacteria

Fill out a care sheet if you want proper answers. It’s really hard to judge good husbandry off just a picture. Once you get one filled out you will get lots of answers. You can find them on this site.

And a 6.5 uvb meter will save you money and make you know your setup is perfect if you invest in one. Most bulbs recommend being changed after 6 months and with the solar meter you can carefully watch them, and usually they last longer than that. and in return within couple years it pays for itself.

Panther chameleon new set up do i plant it or not

I won’t pretend to know a good misting schedule for your setup. For a screen enclosure I could give you my opinion but honestly that’s a question better asked to one of those guys who has a bioactive setup. I believe in night time fogging for about 4 hours and a mist right before he wakes up...

Panther chameleon new set up do i plant it or not

I’ve heard and seen some horror stories. Some people think bioactive means no work. And that’s not how it is. But like I say I’m not trying to steer anyone away. but maintaining the proper misting schedule and amount of time the mist has to be on and being able to absorb that amount of water in...
