    Feelings on chams in cups?

So, this past weekend I went to another reptile expo and again saw a few tables where chams were crammed into half pint deli cups. I *might* be able to deal with seeing them in a quart cup for a limited travel situation. And mine was shipped in a pint cup, but he was a TINY baby! These were sub...

I was thinking about the pinch when they climb up your face. Ouch!

    Is everything OK?

When I got mine, he was about that age and he was TEENY! This is a photo of him on his first day here: https://flic.kr/p/eg26mP He was also a nervous little man. A few months later he has a bit of a teen angst period, but now he's huge and friendly and an absolute sweetheart. He didn't even...

How To Go To The Vet

So, this morning I took Drogo to the vet for his eye issue, and that's been handled, but I couldn't help wondering what's the best way to go about the trip with the least amount of stress? It was COLD outside today. Absolutely brutal. Obviously, I kept the car warm. I had him in an explorarium...

    Eye problems

Brought him into the vet today. Good news! He just had some irritation from a little piece of stuck shed. The vet pulled out a tiny piece of skin, and gave me gentamicin sulfate drops for him to get 3x a day for a week. His eye is already starting to look better to me. So happy I brought him in...

    Eye problems

Ok, got some photos! (He's in a mood.) The dry on his eyelids is most likely from the vetricyn I had on in case it was just irritation. His eye looks mostly ok right now, but I just don't like how it's a bit gummy in the morning. Can chams have allergies?

    Eye problems

So, my panther chameleon, Drogo, was having some eye issues. It seemed like some stuck shed. I rinsed it out and it got better, but now it's a bit runny. He seems to have ok vision, he's eating like crazy and hit shots are all on target. He's got a vet appointment on Wednesday morning (the...

    Split screen cages

I'm looking for a reptibreeze style cage, at least 30" high, 18" tall, with a separator down the middle. Could just be a screen one. I know there's a company that makes them that should be at an expo I'll be attending soon, but I thought someone on here might know of a place as well, in case...

    Cricketsicles?

I go to the reptile expos, but I wish I could get to one of the Repticons. I follow them on facebook and they look amazing.

    Cricketsicles?

Do you guys get reptile expos up there? We have a ton downstate, but White Plains is the furthest north I've seen them.

    Cricketsicles?

I'm not sure if it's because I'm in NY, but even our petland discounts carries hornworms. Silkworms are tough to find, but I guess quite a lot of people around here own reptiles.

    What would you do?

We lost power last year for 10 days, and I moved all of my reptiles to a new location. After the 5th day, I moved my cats too. It got COLD. If it's a short term outtage (a couple of hours,) I put blankets on tanks. Any more than that, I look for a new location to take them to.

    Cricketsicles?

We happen to have a really great reptile supply store not too far from my house, and they keep 500 and 1000 count boxes in stock, along with hornworms and all the rest. I'm just a huge baby about the cold in winter, so if I can get them delivered I will. I'm going to try to go to the reptile...

    Cricketsicles?

Has anyone else had trouble with live cricket deliveries this winter? I've ended up going back to buying in person, though I'm wondering if it's safe to get online again. I breed dubia, but my panther likes crickets too, and I have a lot of toads and frogs, but three deliveries in a row arrived...
