    Well, I'm finally going mistking

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble. The automation is the good part about the systems. I'll see if I can figure something out.

    Well, I'm finally going mistking

I might be hitting up the White Plains expo next weekend (which is a little nuts, because I JUST went to the LI one last week) and Mistking usually has a booth there. I might stop and ask them all my questions. I'm sure they've had people do weird mods before.

    Well, I'm finally going mistking

That's my conundrum. I'm thinking of maybe trying to figure out a way to piggyback a second timer. Or maybe they have some kind of shut off valve attachment. The main issue is that the geckos need dry in the day and moist at night and the cham is the opposite. I might just have to suck it up and...

    Well, I'm finally going mistking

So, after about a year and a half, my exo terra monsoon's timer finally went wonky on me yesterday, so I've ordered the mistking starter kit. Any tips from current owners with setup? Also, the mistking and exoterra use the same tubing, can I use my (now extra) exo terra tubing as extension parts...

    Split screen cages

I saw that one, it looked great, except it's too small in each compartment for my needs. I wanted something for cresties without visual separation (just want to control when they breed, but they're ok seeing one another.)

    Is everything OK?

He could just be exploring with his mouth. Maybe looking for water? Give him some extra hydration for a few days, see how that goes.

    Feelings on chams in cups?

That's good to hear. I mean, for baby geckos and some of the frogs, it doesn't look too bad, but the chams, it upsets me every time I see it.

he "leans" when basking / relaxing....

That always amazes me! They can fall asleep in that lean. It's remarkable.

    Chameleons the size of Dogs-

They're horribly addictive, and because you can keep them together, it's worse than chams!

    Is everything OK?

Don't forget, they can and WILL jump to flee, particularly the little ones. So if he IS scared, that's an option for him!

    Feelings on chams in cups?

At every expo I've been to, there's at least 3 or 4 tables that keep chams like that. Most others also keep geckos, snakes, etc. Is this an industry standard thing? It seems awful to me.

he "leans" when basking / relaxing....

Ha, mine does that too. I'm always impressed that he doesn't fall off the branch. If you watch long enough, they'll switch sides sometimes!

Chameleon Living Arrangement - Advice Needed

What is the exact situation with the cats? I have two cats and quite honestly, they couldn't care less about my cham. When he free ranges, I keep an eye on them, or have him range in a closed off room, but otherwise, when he's in his cage, they don't have any real impact on him.

    Eye problems

Thanks! I was really nervous it would be something awful, but I guess we all need drops every now and then. And the vet said he looked great otherwise, which is always nice to hear!

    Crestie Compilation!

Who doesn't love a duck butt crestie? The tail drop is pretty disturbing. I'm way more comfortable handling tailless cresties!

    Chameleons the size of Dogs-

Omg, can you imagine the sperm plug cleanup? Yoinks.

    Chameleons the size of Dogs-

Ha, no kidding! Leachies are pretty darned close though. There's something about a plump, smiling reptile that I just cannot resist! I LOVE my cham, but he's just not a snuggler. He's more of a judgemental ornament in my home.

    Split screen cages

Never got a response on here, but if anyone ELSE is looking, "lizards-4-u" www.lizards4u.com is a SUPER nice guy who will make a completely custom cage however you want it. Great prices too! I hooked up with him at the LI Reptile Expo and I'm getting my cage shortly!
