1st post in quite a while as I do not have a chameleon anymore but I feed my dubias lettuce, bell peppers, carrots, kale, apples and cuties (small oranges), celery, and even dog food once in a while. They are given fruits once a week as treats and dog food 2-3x a month. Honestly my roaches eat...
I am looking for a cb born juvenile giant waxy monkey tree frog. I am located in northridge but will drive to buy him from a vender if within reasonable driving distance.
He is as his normal basking spot with uvb but instead of a light green he dark brown. I cleaned his cage yesterday with rubbing alcohol could he be sick from it?
I have had my waxy monkey tree frog for around a year and he is really cool, but I want to get his big brother the giant waxy monkey tree frog. Does any have one? Also does anyone have any idea where to purchase one?
Right now I am using an Exo Terra Compact Fluorescent 13watt 5.0 uvb bulb. But I was wondering if I could use the Exo Terra Compact Fluorescent 13watt 2.0 uvb bulb as he likes to rest at the top of his cage during the day so the uvb could still reach him.
Ok
I looked for it today but did not find it. It will be around 4 to 6 months before it reaches full size assuming it survives. I will just be sure to never loose another one.
Still not eating
but she has still has not lost weight. Btw her black light burned out yesterday and the only spare light I have is a red one. What other lights can I use to just provide heat during the night for her cycle?
I was feeding my waxy monkey tree frog a few small dubias when I noticed there was a hole in the brown lunch bag I was using to coat them. I was able to find all of the except one. Should I be worried that there is one roaming around my house?
Update
I am almost done with his medication and while the "snoring" has stopped he still makes the popping noise and has excess salvia. Im very worried that the medication which is Baytril is not working.
My chams zoo med basking spot lamp went out for the 3rd time in two months. I am getting tired of paying $8 a bulb. Can I provide UVA to my chameleon a cheaper way?
Today I had an interview at California State University Northridge for a work study program in the biology and science department. The vivarium that they have is soo cool: frilled dragons, green tree pythons, and even indian star tortoise's. The lady in charge even asked for my personal info...
Update she has not eaten still
but she has shed two times and her weight is still the same. Could she be in a form of brumation or does she think it is winter for her and is trying to ride it out?
