Hello,
I have a ficus that is all ready to go into Silas's cage, but was wondering if it is okay to use. I see that many people do use them, but then I also hear some things about irritation to the skin or eyes of the chameleons. Should I put it in or not??
Just wondering how long it usually takes for a new cham to get adjusted to his new home after being shipped in a box and having all new environment to get used to. He's doing very well. Moving around his cage and checking everything out and eating well.
Wow, so from what I have heard maybe it is not a good idea to feed supers. Can they eat mealworms or maybe I'll have to get some butter worms from Chameleons Northwest.
Jann, Wow are they really that nasty or are you toying with me. So just how do you feed a super to a chameleon? Is the super in your palm or between your fingers when you feed them? Sorry to sound so naive, but this is all new to me:confused:
Just a quick question. I was in to Petsmart buying crickets for Silas the other day and was looking the getting him some supers too. The lady at the pet store told me that if I'm going to feed supers to my chameleon I will need to take the head of the worm off first. Well I have never heard...
Thanks for all the advice. He did put in back in when I made him move. Just hope that he doesn't flash us on a regular basis:rolleyes: Other than that he is doing great.
I don't know we were gone for a couple hours and when we can home my son said what was that? Anyway, we got him to move and he pulled it back in. :) Is this normal? Sandy for Chameleons Northwest said that he was near a female yesterday before he was shipped and was a little excited. Or maybe...
Hello,
Silas is doing well. Fed him a few crickets and he went hunting=good sign:D. He loves his basking spot and is staying to the top part of his cage. He is so cool. This was very worth the wait and I got exactly what I wanted. Merry Christmas to me:D Anyway here are some pics of...
Thanks Jamelon, I will :). Got temps just right and auto mister ready to go. His cage is ready. Having fun tracking him on his way to my house:D Good night all.
He is on his way. My Ambilobe panther should be here tomorrow morning by 10:30. Excited to see my new chameleon:D And yes, I will post pics of his arrival.
Thanks Reptoman, But don't think that the hubby is going to let me do that. It might clash with his sword display :) He is currently working on something that will work for adjusting height.
Thank you all. When I checked the temp today it was 94. So I will put a lower wattage bulb in and see where I'm at with it. Thanks again, I'm sure I'll have more questions when he gets here on Tuesday.
Just making the final adjustments for my Chameleon that will be here on Tuesday. He is an Ambilobe (over 2 years old). What should the basking temp be at?
