I use two in each cage. i use a digital unit that I place where it doesnt get direct spray and not in basking light. i use the other one on the other side of cage and a little lower than the digital. they both read temp and humidity. the digital one has two probes and the other just uses velcro
I also take 5 or so out of my bin that they are housed in and put them into another container for gut loading and usually leave them in there for a day or two before using them as feeders.
Just an update on my male Nosy Be Panther, Ego. He just hit 8 months old and weighed in at 88 grams. He still has a pretty hearty appetite. Trying to figure out when to go to every other day feeding. Here is the last pic I took of him a couple of weeks ago.

Got my Rain Dome installed tonight. Ran a test misting and it worked well. It was already almost lights out so I didnt run it long enough to see how he will react to it.
That's cool. Drip system and everything. I know they don't make them but I had to call the number haha. Like the time I sent TIME Magazine an old subscription card from the 70's where they advertised a year of magazines for like $3.00. Never heard back from them on that either....
I have one that's a good hunter and one that would prefer cup feeding or have the feeder walk close to him. What I like about letting feeders like crickets loose in the cage is it keeps my 8 month old panther active and it's fairly easy on me after I've dusted them. The thing I don't like...
I am still going through my last order of Superworms that I bought about a month and a half ago. I picked up the bin I have them in and WHOO! Smelled like a cat box (amonia smell). Is sifting and changing out with fresh media the best thing?
Thank you
1,000. I think that at the most he may go through 10-15 a day while they are small. at that rate they would go through their life cycle before he could eat them all and at some point they may get too big for him to safely eat. i bought them 250 at a time until my Male Nosy Be got about 6...
ah, poor guy. kudos for sticking with him. he probably doesn't know any different though. good to hear the vet doesn't think any problems should come of it.
