So i'm buying this Ambanja panther from a guy online who is selling him due to space issues. I've talked to him about his husbandry and everything seems to be spot on. I will be seeing him in person Saturday, only have photos for now.
He's 9 month. He gets a wide variety of 3-5 feeders...
Wow nice to know I won't need to mix the 2..saves me a little time. Love when people just have the answers to things!
I'm almost completely sure I'm going to buy him on sat when I see him in person.. Just to clarify. He DEFINITELY looks healthy right? No sunken casque, no sunken eyes.. Etc...
Thanks. I know he's not the most colorful guy in the world but i'm thinking that red will pop out some more. He is supposedly 9 months and could just be a late boomer.
Here is a pic of his sire, strait off screameleons site.
Ok after reading nearly every post on this forum about how I should...
Superworms can climb screen walls and a lot of other things, just make sure when your placing it you see their little arms go through the screen and theyll attach themselves, they are near the front of their body.
I believe any feeder is capable of biting your chameleon but correct me if i'm...
Wow thanks for the informative reply. I'm typing this from my phone at work so excuse any grammar.
Its good to hear that he looks okay. I guess I will use my routine then
I still wouldn't know what adjustments to make to the supplementation based on what I'm feeding him but I guess I...
Thanks for the prompt reply! Yes that schedule you quoted is what I would use.
The owner who has him now does this: "He eats mainly crickets as a staple dusted with calcium without d3 i feed around 4-5 large daily. He also eats silkworms, hornworms, superworms but does not eat dubai crickets...
2-3 crickets dusted. 4-5 fed actually fed of the large. If its the smalls/mediums then it could be a lot more like 8 - 12 a day.
Oh so you havent been supplementing d3 at all?
This on the screamleons website is what through me off
"This depends on the age of your chameleon. Chameleons 1-10...
Sorry for the duplicate post, I think this fits in the health category better (and find I get great replies here)
Pics included in my first post, which is virtually the same. Sorry for confusion.

So I'm adopting a 9 month old Sambanja sired by Akuma from Screameleons.
He looks really healthy and I'm getting a good price on him :)
Anyways I've only owned veiled's and have never had a young chameleon.
My question is with supplementation, I know there are tons of post about this but I...
His body is almost as long as my forearm and im 6ft. I am just shocked because I have been to reptile shows and seen lots of other chams but this guy is just a BEAST.
Now, can anyone by seeing this pic identify what type he is. Nice shade of green on the body I just wasn't sure. He has blue...
So on my way home from work I decided to check out a reptile store I haven't been to named reptile island.
I stumbled across this panther, not sure of his name owner was not in the store. Other guy there said he is just on display and not for sale.
Anyways this picture does not do him...

Unfortunately Sherman passed away a few hours ago.
We tried and tried and did everything we could for the poor guy and learned a lot along the way. I feel we fought the good fight and it was the right thing to do.
P.S. Carol: I did point that swollen joint out to the vet but he said to...
So Sherman has been through a lot here are my previous post with him https://www.chameleonforums.com/need-urgent-advice-veiled-doing-worse-114340/
Let me break it down for you.
-Rescued him dehydrated with a nasal infection
-got that fixed but antibiotics caused him to stop eating/lethargic...
I may add, this all started when I found him on the bottom of his cage 2 nights ago after returning home from work. Not sure if he fell/had some kind of stroke. Took him to vet immediately in the morning. Been keeping him in this (hospitalized bin enclosure) with lights above him. Basking him...
I'm going to give it a week before I jump to any conclusions. If he still has zero movement in his legs by then, then there may be some kind of paralysis (fingers crossed he will pull through tho).
Here's a picture of him in his bin. This is what he does all day.. with a fresh poop He can't...
