She seemed fine, appeared to be large and gravid. Stopped eating like she was going to lay, timing was right for egg laying. She was fine in the morning and dead by afternoon. When we did a necropsy, she was full of pus, no eggs. Just my experience, could be unrelated, but I would have them both...
I had that happen years ago. There should be post on my account way back if you can find it, maybe 10 years back. The male was fine, but the female had problems unfortunately.
Just some background. I breed quads, but my friend who breeds Panthers had a heart attack and was in the hospital for months. I took care of all of his hatchlings and now need to make room for baby quads. The adult male is not mine. This boy is not shy and a great eater.
I have 3 female ambilobe for sale. $100 each if you can pick them up this week. They are about 3-4 months old and growing fast. I am selling them for a friend in the hospital. Here are photos of the sire and photos of the babies available. I will have more available after the new year.
This guy lived to be 10. He spent most of the year outside getting natural light.
Plus he was angry, very angry. He was angry the day he hatched! His name was Mini, but we called him MAD, MAD Mini. lol
