Anyone with experience breeding black crickets? Gryllus bimaculatus?

No unfortunately, but they seem like a worthwhile feeder to try out.

Anyone with experience breeding black crickets? Gryllus bimaculatus?

Yes, they are tiny for sure but I've seen them active during the day, and soft bodied. They may certainly have a use, much like our tiny green banana roach. Though most are nocturnal.

We have some epic reptile programs coming up.

I find them to be a more "interactive" roach species, if you feed them by hand they will come to allow gentle handling, schedule their feeding during the day, and if they feel safe, they will come out and eat during the day, eventually they settle down and become an "all hours" roach type...

Team banded here too, that said some raising the various tree crickets maybe very helpful for dietary supplementation. I've also found banded aren't as likely to eat whatever they are being fed too, can't speak for the large black crickets I worked with up in Minnesota though, huge in...

@DeremensisBlue has seen the light and is going to do TWO podcasts in the world's only true chameleons, the anoles. I may or may not have had a small part to play in this turn of events. Tonight Tomorrow I trust any proper "chameleon" enthusiast will turn up to take in the glory, and have a...

The pondering of a mad man.

I have been thinking, which is never a good thing, and I have questions: Are we REALLY reptile, or exotic animal keepers, or merely insect death enthusiasts? Inquiring minds want to know. @jamest0o0

    Recommend a place for grasshoppers

My favorite species is the Carolina locust, Dissosteira carolina, I wish more people would seriously work with them, very inoffensive as far as feeders go. Also nice and large, and some are even pretty.

Dude you need halogen lights/mercury vapor to get them going. These are outdoor plants that worship the sun. Also I hope you've given them a yearly cycle of shortening and lengthening day light hours. Having read the rest of the thread I'm curious and excited to see if ypur jungle dawn will...
