    Male veiled for sale, FL

No it is not a burn, it is actually quite unfortunately from crickets. I found him in the morning and they were chewing on his back. Quite a large wound but it is healed up and the scab is cleaning up nicely. I had to many crickets in the enclosure and they actually ate my chameleon alive.

I have tried it but my cham couldn't seem to get them to stick to her tongue, even after I dried them up with a paper towel.

    Burned skin?

I have a young male veiled chameleon he is probably 5 months old. I have him in a 24"x24"x48" screened enclosure with a ficus and pothos. He is showing normal light green coloration and eating and drinking well. I have a 24" uv light strip and a 100 watt basking bulb. I noticed recently on his...

    new cham

Ya he is probably just nervous. You have to remember he sees all sorts of other cover and even birds flying by may spook him so he is probably trying to seek more cover since he is not accustomed to outdoor living. Once he adjusts and realises he is safe he should settle down. I hope you live in...

    wasps okay for chameleon

I have placed my veiled chameleon outside and she ate a wasp that landed on her plant. Since then I have tried to give her wasps, some of them she will eat others she will ignore (stingers attached). It seems she knows which may be dangerous to her, but she has never had any problems from eating...

    Bees and Wasp

My vieled will eat any form of wasp readily, I have never removed the stingers. I did place in a honey bee after removing the stinger and she won't even touch it. Seems to me she knows what is ok and whats not instinctively. Also how can you prove a chameleon died from eating an insect, there...

    perch setup questions.

I just got a new setup for my female veiled. It is 24x24x48, I am using natural perches up in the top of the cage near the basking lamp and was wondering if it is ok to sort of wedge them against the metal screening? I can't figure any other ways to place them so high, and just don't want to...
