Jackson’s chameleon need sub species identification!!

You’re welcome. You have received some great advice from elizaann2. She has a beautiful Jackson’s which show how good her care parameters are. I live in Southern California and kept my Jackson’s outdoors. The weather here is perfect for them. I think one of the most important things is to...

Jackson’s chameleon need sub species identification!!

I’m surprised there is a dispute about what species of Jackson’s this is. It seem quite obvious and the differences in Jackson’s has been talked about on this forum for many years. Here are the things that stand out that help identify this Jackson’s as a female Jacksonii Jacksonii. #1 The...

I don’t keep any of my chameleons at specific temperatures so it can range from the 60’s to the mid 80’s in summer with night drops into the low to mid 60’s.. Winter day temps are 60’s-70’s with night temps getting into the 50’s

    Market for CB Parsons

I spoke with the OP about my thoughts on breeding Parson’s. It’s my opinion that breeding Parson’s is not an easy thing to do. It can take a long time and can be a very expensive undertaking. I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to someone who hasn’t had prior chameleon breeding experience. The...

Outdoor Chameleon in Huntington Beach, California

I live in HB and have been keeping chameleons here outdoors year round for nearly 30 years. Jackson’s do great outdoors here. I’ve kept several species outdoors with most of them being Calumma and Trioceros species. These species see cool temperatures in their natural environments. The closer to...

    My chameleon is blind

This happened to my oldest male Parson’s. A female poked his eye while he was trying to mate her. It’s been 3 years now I think and he’s doing great. Still pretty good at shooting bugs.

    Furcifer willsii.

My female Willsii laid a nice clutch of 10 eggs. These will be for F2 babies. Now for the long wait. Looks like I need to get another incubator up and running.

    New CB OE Parsons keeper

Female and male Parson’s can become quite restless when it’s time for them to mate. They will often spend time trying to get out of their enclosures in an effort to find a mate. Females that are gravid will usually start exploring for places to lay but this behavior is different than when the...
