    WC Ankify has settled in.

Guy absolutely has the God Emperor mentality. Apologies for the blurry photos, switched up the lighting to a couple enclosures and my phone apparently took issue with it.

    WC Ambanja Update

This is how he arrived last year. Never seen a chameleon in such bad shape. I was excessively emotional about it. This is him now. Tough as nails but still very shy, truly expected him to pass, but he told death "Not today!" Guy must have been an extra cantankerous terminator Veiled in a past...

    WC Ankify hydrating.

    Not so grumpy when hungry/thirsty.

    My WC Ankify arrived today.

Boy is absolutely massive. One of the largest if not the largest panther I've ever seen in person besides maybe my WC Samabava from a decade ago. Tail curled up and lengthwise still spans most of his basking branch. Can't wait til he is fully hydrated and puts on a little more muscle. Will...

My Aknify boy decided to go Supernova today (and he's about to shed)

Never forget Carol5208's Boomer. Personally I find him to be a absolute legend within the chameleon world. Such a mythical creature.

My Aknify boy decided to go Supernova today (and he's about to shed)

Not gonna lie, I totally just realized that I spelled Ankify improperly in the header... guess you can tell I was excited. 🤷‍♂️

My Aknify boy decided to go Supernova today (and he's about to shed)

Ankify has been my favorite locale since I began keeping chams, but it was largely unavailable or not pure locale back then. If you are looking for one I would suggest hitting up Daniel Nuno over at NorCal Chams, and tell him Landis sent you his way. From what I have seen he has the best Ankify...

    Parson YG babies!!

Wow... dat YG... Huge props on all your babies making it, can only imagine how great it feels having all those little gold nuggets in your cham room. Must be a magical experience. When I started keeping chams my dream was to have a pure locale Ankify and a YG Parson's. Got one crossed off the...

Unfortunate eye issue and tough decision…

And if they are incapable of remedying the issue they SHOULD cover the cost of a visit to an exotics vet that has experience with chameleons. Ofloxacin Ophthalmic 0.3% are the medicated drops I have seen prescribed for chams.

Unfortunate eye issue and tough decision…

If it is an issue which can be treated I would stick with him. Health issues aside he is an excellent looking little dude, and based on the fact he is not fully emaciated and is still displaying plenty of color it seems like he has a great chance of recovering. Also, not to 100% guilt you...

Another thing to consider in the vitamin D picture...

Right now I am attempting to grow out my dairy cow isopod culture as rapidly as possible so that I may begin using them as an additional food item being that they possess an exceptional calcium to phosphorus ratio, plus my chams really seem to love them. I am personally not a big fan of...

Another thing to consider in the vitamin D picture...

They absolutely pupate much more successfully in something which resembles their natural habitat vs in a sterile environment. I think I had close to 0% mortality a terrarium filled with bark/peat/soil layers vs plastic pupation cells. The soil provides better insulation layers from either heat...

Another thing to consider in the vitamin D picture...

Based on personal observations, and simple logic I suppose, I would imagine that in nature morio larvae would often transition from beneath the cover of natural substrate to consume any nutrient dense vegetable, fruit, fungi, or carrion. This would occur even during daylight hours and in full...
