Thank you for tagging MissSkittles. I took him to an exotics vet twice over this and didn't get a lead on what it is. Last time she took a chunk of the growth to send to a lab but said they didn't know what it was.
Hi MissSkittles,
Thank you so much for this response! <3 This was very helpful. I've got some concerns about some of the decor in Yato's enclosure--I think the frequent misting has caused some water damage overtime, so I'll have to redo it in order to ease mind and make sure it's spotless...
Ooof, I just read the link. Thank you for sharing. Did not know it could be something that could spread to people too, so that changes a lot because I have a baby. How did he get it if there aren't any other reptiles around?

:ROFLMAO: Glad to know it's not just me! I think I made it a week of withholding food before I got worried. So maybe I'll try a little longer next time around. In the meantime, I'll focus on the gutload of my worms.
Yes I had/have loose dubias. I set up a few sticky traps and caught a few of them. I don't know if I caught them all but my traps are coming up empty. I've tried various methods of trying to feed off dubias. I've tried different sizes. I've tried waiting until a dubia recently shed and is all...
Yato, my panther chameleon, only likes to eat worms. Not literally earthworms, but all the usual reptile bugs that looks like worms or caterpillars: superworms, mealworms, hornworms, silkworms, BSFL etc. I think it's something about the way they wiggle that excites him into eating them.
He's...
Hello! I'm looking for a way to capture loose dubias in my enclosure without endangering my chameleon Yato. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
I used to feed Yato dubias by placing them in a bowl. However, I once watched a dubia escape, and so I now only handfeed dubias. It has...
Hello!
I have a fully active Dubia Roach and Mealworm Colony that I no longer need. Unfortunately, Yato my chameleon has decided that he hates Dubias and refuses to eat them. I've spent months now trying to feed them off and Yato is just not having it. In fact, he once puffed up and gaped at me...
I think they are dead because they have been like this over a month, but I just want to double check before I toss them.
I bought ~200 and fed off maybe 30 before they all just stopped moving. I thought, it’s cold in the room, maybe they are just conserving energy. I put them by the basking...
About 3 months ago, a family friend gave me his dubia roach colony. There are about 300-400 Dubias of various sizes in the colony, and I'd say 100-200 mealworms. According to him, it is a fully self-sufficient Dubia/mealworm colony which he had been keeping for 2 years. He said that it doesn't...
I have not caught him misting his own eyes, but I haven't been around for the misting in some time. I have a nice fine hand mister so I've sprayed a little above him before to see if I could help him flush his eyes a little. He blinked a lot, but didn't seem bothered by the water.
