His grip seems pretty firm. I have had percy since he was a wee lad. Purchased him from the Kammers at about 2 months old. He is 2 years old now. I did take him to the vet recently for an eye problem but he didnt mention any other problems while i was there.
Percy isnt a very good eater...
Percy seems to be falling from his jungle gym lately. First 2 times i was home to put him back up in his basking spot but yesterday i came home to find him on the cage floor ...wet and cold :( . I have a vine that extends to the bottom just in case something like this happened but he didnt use...
If my memory serves me correctly, when he was younger he didnt seem to flail around so much in the air. He looks like a blind man searching for his stick!!
Sometimes Percy stays in the same place for over a day....is he relaxing or would something be wrong? He doesnt seem motivated to move...at all. I fed him some worms and they are still in his cup from 2 days ago. I hear of all these stories about how lively peoples chamys are during the day...
My guy gets kinda dull too. He also just started a shedding cycle. I was actually wondering if its the hard water that i have coming out of my mister. I know your supposed to use distilled but i just cant keep up with that.
I have a bunch of tiny flies buzzing around my enclosure (probably from live plants). Should i try and get rid of them or leave them be. My chamy doesnt eat them...they just buzz around like they are in a humid tropical forest!
Ok...right now i just give them the silkworm food that you make from mulberry farms. What else should i be giving them?
Also...(totally different question) ..how do i discinfect branches to put in Percy's cage?
Hmm....Well...the thing is that he will eat a silkworm with any kind of my supplement though. I did get him to eat 2 large mealworms yesterday. I usually stay away from feeding those cause of the whole "hard shell" deal. Last thing i need is for him to get constipated! LOL!!
