I keep other reptiles and in Geckos a smegma buildup is indicicative of a vitamin A deficiency. Is it the same thing for chams?
I have read all over that is totally normal but what if we’ve missed something? What if it’s a deficiency?
First off your cham looks fantastic and in great health. Great job. Tell us more details about your supplements regiment. Multivitimins? D3 or not? How often? Can you post a photo of your entire enclosure?
I would have the fecal matter tested for parasites. Any odd behavior or physical features...
Why don’t we start a wiki that members can edit? It would allow thorough care sheets for every species but so much more. It would be searchable. It would allow citing sources. The information would be easily linkable here on the forums, and we could direct new members to it easily. This is a...

The only reason for substrate is to set up a bio active substrate. This is where you have bugs that earth the chameleon poop and it becomes fertilizer for the soil.
Otherwise, the cage should have no substrate at all. This makes cleaning and drainage easy and prevents the possibility of you...
It took twenty years to get that much growth?? Sounds like it is not a viable option for me.
Those Christ in the manger flowers look like something an artist would dream up on an alien planet. Stunning
So, in the wake of this loss it is time to grow stronger and be better for it. First off, start by reading all the guides and resources on this site. There are a lot and they will give you a solid foundation. Keep visiting the forums, researching, and learning. This isn’t the only resource out...
