I had something similar on a young veiled years ago. He was probably 3-4 months old. Developed what looked like a burn on his shoulder, but it wasn't. It went away after a few sheds. I'll see if I can find the photo.
I just use regular window screen. But make sure you get black. I done both silver and black and silver creates a terrible glare with the lights shining into the cage. It makes it difficult to see your cham.
So I go to the doctor and for my annual physical. The blood work comes back and my doctor tells me I'm Vit D deficient and I have to start taking supplements. I opted for pills instead of dusting my food.
I suppose I'll have to get a UVB light for my desk at work next.
That shipnex.com site looks promising. I've got one male carpet I'm trying to sell, so I'll let you know how it works if I can find a buyer.
I finished another CD right before Thanksgiving. If you want a copy, PM me your address again.
Jared - doing well! I've seen you've gotten into more of the offbeat chams. Hope you're still thrashing though.
Yeah, I usually use Shipyourreptiles (without any problems), but it appears they've had some issues for some time. I found another site online, but it said they aren't allowed to...
Anyone know of a good place to get discount overnight shipping? It seems most of the places I have used in the past are having issues with the carriers or something else.
If you're not a regular shipper, where do you go to get the discount? Last time I shipped overnight it was between $40...

I have a friend at work who has a ton of hornworms that are eating her tomato plants. She'd be happy to collect some for me, but somewhere in the back of my mind I remember that you can't use hornworms that eat tomato plants because the plants are toxic.
Can someone confirm this?
I suppose it depends on why Slowfoot is asking.
Did you look up weather conditions in Madagascar and want to know if your habitat should be 80 or 89 or does it 'feel' like 89 where you are and wonder if it's too hot for your cham?
Not sure about old world chameleons, but I know back in the day (50's 60's) you could get anoles (commonly called chameleons) at the Texas State Fair. They sold them on strings and I suppose you could wear them around as an accessory.
Probably not what you're looking for, but that's the only...
