    Veiled breeders in Indiana?

I did find a cham, got him in February. I will just add that I got him through a connection with a local show vendor/breeder who are awesome and well respected people in the community. I would definitely recommend building a relationship with the seller first, and continuing that relationship after.

    Flchams

But of course there are great breeders here as well that will work with you.

    Flchams

If possible, get in touch with a local or semi-local breeder. Check out your local reptile show vendors to find them. My advice would be to find a breeder who can mentor you before getting the chameleon, if it is your first. It's so much better when the seller is someone who cares where their...

    Chameleo’s setup - critisism welcomed

If it's the schefflera dropping leaves, it may not be getting enough light. Plants usually drop their lower leaves and get leggy (stretched out) if they don't enough light. Are you running any plant bulbs?

Show me how you hang your lights

What dual fixture would you recommend, if I end up getting one?

Show me how you hang your lights

Yeah I also wish I got a dual fixture now too. But I am stuck with it now and they are too expensive to buy another right now. I thought about extending the reflectors with something that will be able to support the weight. Haven't got that far yet. My enclosure is 2x2x4 and I made a stand out...

Show me how you hang your lights

I have seen one before with PVC. My T5 fixture cannot rest level on the cage because of the way it's designed. But I will try to get it as close as possible.

Show me how you hang your lights

I have two dome fixtures and one 24" T5. I don't want them resting on the screen. I have a couple ideas for building a fixture to hang them all from but I would like to see what others have done. The enclosure is in a corner where I can mount hooks or other fixtures from the ceiling or wall if I...

    DIY "dragon ledges"

Thanks. I was wondering about a waterproof spray but wasn't sure how to find one that was chameleon safe.

    DIY "dragon ledges"

Has anyone here done DIY dragon ledges? I have seen some made out of wood but I was thinking a waterproof material would be better. I want more than 5 ledges but I don't want to spend $100 from dragon strand. I have any tools I would need, just not sure of a good material other than wood.

    Advice please for first chameleon

I collected some ludwigia from a friend's pond. It was really dark red because it grew in the shallow water by the bank. When I put it in my tank, only the upper 1/4 of the plant had reddish leaves, all the rest were green. Pretty cool to see how it responded to change in environment. Anyway I...

    Advice please for first chameleon

Question about gut loading: I been researching keeping feeder insect alive long term and possibly breeding. I see it recommended to gut load about 24-48 hrs before feeding them to your cham, but I would like to know if you guys separate the "chosen ones" into another gut loading-specific bin or...

    Advice please for first chameleon

After looking at it, some of the stuff was posted by another member about his DIY build, post #62. You don't have to go through all that. How does CRI factor into plant lighting? I know from aquatic plants that they like red and blue light for photosynthesis, correct? Is that what CRI is...

    Advice please for first chameleon

I haven't got into high tech yet. Pretty low PAR lights and easy plants. I was thinking about getting more into it, then I wanted a chameleon! Haha.
