    Gutloading Recipes

I was doing some searching on calcium the other day. I currently only use Repashy Calcium Plus Lo-D, which from what I read is considered a good daily supplement. Should I consider using a plain calcium supplement daily, and mixing in the Repashy maybe once a week/bi-weekly? Also considered...

    Gutloading Recipes

Sadly I think I will be tossing this entire batch, I am finding that both avocado's and banana's are high in phosphorus, which is no good for chams. I need to do some research.

    Gutloading Recipes

Thanks James, I did not know that. Is there a resource anywhere that has a list of acceptable/unacceptable fruits/veggies/etc?

    Gutloading Recipes

I recently made my very first batch, using the above video for reference. I used the below trays that come with lids so you can stack them to save space in your freezer and they worked perfectly. I am going to just store them in these trays until I use them. To make better use of each cube...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

I'm in the same boat. When I first got him at 3 months old he would eat 15-20 nymph dubia's every day. I eventually treated him to superworms and that was the end of his appetite for dubia roaches. He was into crickets for a few weeks but that eventually stopped. The only thing he would eat...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

I've been using this stuff since I started my colony and as soon as I put it in they completely cover it, literally within 30-60 seconds. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5GC2P4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think it's a good staple feeder to maintain a colony, while...

    My first Chameleon/cage

I'd add more skinnier branches that he can easily grab, and more foliage for hiding.

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Bought the ingredients for the gut load cubes as well as a feeder bin, ordered the ice cube trays off of amazon so I have to wait until Tuesday to make it. Going to freeze whatever is left over that will not fit into trays and cut it up later. Mustard greens, acorn squash, avocado, mango...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Here it is: https://dubiaroachdepot.com/guidance/dubia-roach-care-sheet Frass As previously mentioned, newborn Dubia roaches eat frass. This generally applies to roaches ¼-inch or smaller. If you have roaches this size, consider leaving at least some frass in the enclosure. On the other hand...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

This is what I read somewhere when I was setting up my colony. It basically said to not clean out all of the frass since some should be left so the babies can eat it. ::shrug::

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

My issue was likely due to me keeping them in a 10 gallon fish tank and not providing heat. This was when I was just starting out and did not know much about dubia roaches. I'm going to buy a smaller plastic bin and provide heating, hopefully this will keep them hungry. I also read that nymphs...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Before starting my colony I had a similar issue when I would purchase 200-400 nymphs/juveniles at a time. I would provide them food daily but it never appeared to get touched, they would always remain in hiding. In my colony, within 30 seconds of filling their roach chow or throwing in real...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

This was my thought process. Keep the entire colony living off of high quality roach chow and toss in veggies/fruits here and there. Then give the cubes to those that I know will be eaten off the next day. This wasn't from a calcium concern as you mentioned, just for preserving the higher...

    Selling Chameleons Eventually

I sent a few texts asking about the status but he eventually stopped responding. While I love the cham I got from him, he probably will not get return business from me.

    Selling Chameleons Eventually

I know, I was not happy at all, I ended up having to take a Monday off of work so I could get him from FedEx right away and offer him water. FedEx tracking stated that FL Chams did not meet the cut-off for providing them the package in time to allow for overnight delivery. FL Chams said they...

    Selling Chameleons Eventually

Below is how mine came from FL Chams. The container was in a box, completely packed with newspaper. There was a heat pack in the box since I bought him when the temps in my area were around 50F. Shipped overnight, which was delayed and it took him 4 days to arrive.

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Ok cool, that makes sense. Maybe I'll pick up 2 of these and fill halfway as you do: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GJQFYJM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1WATBVVRBZ9UY&psc=1

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

I'm not trying to make it hard..just trying to understand the ideal way. In the below video the guy states his bowl of cubes last him a few months (4:00). So if you are dropping in a cube a day to maintain your entire colony, I don't understand how say 30 cubes last him months. Unless you drop...

    Feeding dubia's from a colony

Chameleomom, you maintain your entire colony off of the cubes, or only those that are on death row?
