    Disrupted Egg Laying?

Oh nevermind...when we moved the plant it shifted they lay spot, and left a slight depression...she's re-filling the hole because we did a substandard job.

    Disrupted Egg Laying?

Our just under two year old veiled just layed her second clutch. After she filled in her hole and returned to the top of her habitat, we noticed bugs in one of her pants and decided to take it out (I'll be making a seperate post about those). We rinsed the bottom of the habitat. We fed our...

Best Online Prices in the US?

They had some great prices (half what I would pay up here) but not what I am looking for. I will bookmark them for when the borders open up more.

Best Online Prices in the US?

I am going to be in the US for one whole day next week. I know that getting aquarium supplies from the US is cheaper than in Canada and I was curious if the same was true for reptile supplies. I am looking for a 24 inch T5 HO lamp. Who is your favorite online retailer? My plan is to order it...

Why dosnt my cham do the leaf dance anymore?

He's probably just used to you now and he doesn't feel like he has to pretend to be a leaf to feel safe. I'd say that is a good thing.

    Heatwave Increase Misting?

What would i do with the icepack? Just lay it in her habitat? She gave quite the side eye to the fan when I set it up, she doesn't mind it so much now.

    Heatwave Increase Misting?

Hi, So the west coast is a bit hot and my little AC is not quite able to keep up. I would love to go buy another AC but they are all sold out everywhere. Our female veiled room is currently sitting at 84 degrees during the day and maybe drops to 79 at night. I have a fan running in the...

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

She’s decided she’s sleeping on the rim of her lay bin tonight. I’m doing my best not to get anxious over it. Thanks so much for your insight

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

Good to know, I'll keep an eye on her eyes too. She actually already filled in her hole and is now working on filling in her test hole that she dug up last week. She looks a little thinner too. She's also filthy! She hasn't gone up to her spot yet, so I am not sure we are done yet.

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

Well, she got to nearly the bottom and the substrate is still damp. She's stopped digging and has turned around in her hole. She may be laying, she may be chilling. I'm not sure. I think she was originally digging a vertical tunnel that collapsed. I'm concerned about her health after being...

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

Sand and organic soil blend. It’s damp, hold shape...as in it doesn’t slide down back in to her dig but I guess not really good for tunnelling.

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

And she's digging again...she's clearly not suffering from PTSD from this event like I am.

    HELP! Dig Tunnel Collapsed

So our female veiled is gravid and has been digging lately. Came home and had to put some stuff away in "her" room, checked the spy cam and she wasn't digging so I went in. I am glad I did, I couldn't see her in the habitat. I came to the terrifying conclusion that her did must have...

Zoo Med Excavator Clay Burrowing Substrate

I am currently renovating our female veiled's habitat and am setting up a designated lay-zone (essentially leaving space for a lay bin). I just discovered the existence of the Zoo Med excavator clay. Would this be good to use mixed with sand? Or should I just stick the the sand? Or sand and...

    Keeping Hornworms Alive

I think if I were to start another "science experiment" I will get in to a wee bit of trouble with the significant other 😆
