My chameleon wont eat from cups or feeder cup

Mine were only from 3 big name suppliers- never from Petco- one local guy though so who knows. I assume he got them from a big farm. Anyway another option is to only get big females- they have the ovipositors (stinger looking things)- they don't chirp.

My chameleon wont eat from cups or feeder cup

Crickets also pretty much guarantee pinworms. My adult panther refuses to eat out of a cup. Unless he hasn't eaten in days he won't go for anything but hornworms, silkworms or other super treats. Gut loaded dubia or orange heads he won't take unless he is really hungry, but I refuse to keep...

    Anoles as a feeder

Does that mean you can't keep snakes in Germany? 75 years ago you could probably have gotten feeder gypsies and Jews. Oy vey! Obviously a sick joke. No one in their right mind would feed a gypsy to a snake. Bracelet and tambourines cause impaction.

NEW YORK REPTILE SHOW TOMORROW, ANYONE GOING?

I have a ton of pics to upload today. There were A LOT of chameleons thete yesterday! I also saw a great Ambilobe, the cor I thought I was getting and it pissed me off my panther has such lame colors. Technically yeah, he's a blue barred , but my wife saw the hatchling that I *thought* was...

NEW YORK REPTILE SHOW TOMORROW, ANYONE GOING?

James PM me when you are in NJ, I have off from my job (public school teacher) this week. There are a few hidden gems of aquarium shops in north jersey. Red Bank is like halfway down the shore, you are nowhere close to New York City and well beyond my stomping grounds, but the Seaside Heights...

NEW YORK REPTILE SHOW TOMORROW, ANYONE GOING?

Only 1 panther seller thete. The rest are sad looking veiled and maybe an occasional oddball, but I will if I see anything. Ton of tortoises and ball pythons. Some cool stuff like axolotl and lots of bugs. Saw a $5000 skink last time : o

NEW YORK REPTILE SHOW TOMORROW, ANYONE GOING?

Well tomorrow is that show, its very good. I am in northern NJ and my local reptile shop just reopened with decent stock. But there are not many good reptile shops around here except that one. Petco and such put all the locals out of business. NJ Exotics is supposed to be good but I haven't...

NEW YORK REPTILE SHOW TOMORROW, ANYONE GOING?

Might be nice to meet some members in person if anyone is going. I am 8 months without an automatic mister so think I finally have enough squirreled away for s Pro Mist model 60 with brass nozzles. Not sure if we are allowed to talk about trades meeting up at a show, but I could definitely...

Would you feed a 12 hour dead superworm?

I concur, I chucked out the worms but like I said feel bad to throw away bugs luke they are "objects" and not life forms. Kinda sentimental or whatever, but I respect all creatures great or small. For the record, they did NOT revive. Amazing how susceptible to water these larvae are. A few...

Would you feed a 12 hour dead superworm?

My 2 year old panther just started eating superworms- he refused them for the last 2 years, afraid of them even. Must have been bit as a hatchling or something. Anyway, for those that are squeamish about these guys biting, all you have to do is run some cool/lukewarm water over them in a small...

    Cage size

I found some interesting info in this piece: https://animaldiversity.org/accounts/Furcifer_pardalis/ I'm sure a lot of member s will find fault with some particulars, But I I don't think it's unreasonable to accept the idea that an adult will chose a relatively small area to call home- the info...

Madagascar Jasmine ( Stephanotis floribunda ) cuttings and swap thread.

Trying to collect names and anyone that can contribute to the project. Some of you have this growing, and we could all benefit from anyone that has specific horticultural knowledge, willingness to swap, or ideas on rooting cuttings. I have always had a "green thumb", but Madagascar Jasmine (...

HOW MANY DUBIAS or roaches a week for an adult panther

Whoa- you have my attention now. I am a public school teacher with about 9 years to go before retirement, and have always wanted to get into falconry. I am an avid traditional bowhunter in NJ. There are so few folks that will take on an apprenticeship here for falconry. I am an amateur...

HOW MANY DUBIAS or roaches a week for an adult panther

Super Healthy Panther Northern NJ -rehome or adoption - experienced only

Your screen name is "teen" So yeah, some assumptions were made. I'll let the other stuff go about suggesting I'm a hypocrite. Not sure what you do for a living, but if you have the time to raise 3 kids and take care of a room full of reptiles, hats off to you. Not to mention all all the repairs...

HOW MANY DUBIAS or roaches a week for an adult panther

This puts an entirely new light on things. So- considering the bugs are gut loaded to a pretty absurd level, I hand select only the fattest ones, and he IS eating at least 3 a week of these "staples" (he either gets an orange head or dubia, whichever looks perfect size and fattest) PLUS he gets...

HOW MANY DUBIAS or roaches a week for an adult panther

Been posting about trying to rehome but I overthink thing a lot. How many breeding size - not biggest possible, but adult/breeding size (med?) dubias a week should an adult male panther eat? My chameleon (about 350 grams) does not look skinny and I am gutloading to extremes- but is it possible...

Super Healthy Panther Northern NJ -rehome or adoption - experienced only

My heart is aching and I'm torn. The little bastage is holding out for some hornworms and then he will begrudgingly take some staple feeders (dubias or orange heads) for a few days. James, PM me so we can talk on the phone- I have that jasmine you want anyway. Again- I KNOW he can see just...

Super Healthy Panther Northern NJ -rehome or adoption - experienced only

Well, we are about 2 months from the ideal weather to ship- if I can't find anyone then I'd need to be sure there was some sort of uncrushable box to send him in.... I mean, how is it done? Air holes, correct temp, etc. ? I spend an hour+ a day keeping him happy I can't imagine I could send him...
