    Premature baby

I don't actually know what that is in the picture. Picture is too blurry. This is what slugs look like. Slugs or unfertilized ova and what they look like. Also some live births will have a small yolk sack attached. That isn't what this is.

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

My bio active enclosure has a bunch of small slugs in it. I also haven’t seen ANY isopods for a long time, actually I haven’t seen any except 1 since I added them tbh lol but my enclosure is big and very hard for me to dig to look for any. So I have no idea if they’re alive or not and wondering...

    Premature baby

...hands on experience with your species or ones that are similar. My understanding of chams that live birth their babies is that they can pass slugs as well. These are the unfertilized eggs. This is where my knowledge ends. I believe you had an elliots chameleon? @javadi @JacksJill might...

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

...atm if you really want to get stuff cleaned up quick. Most other isos will take possibly years before they reach effective numbers. For the slugs I’d imagine a beer trap would work great. Note that beer traps aren’t so good for gardens where they will continually lure slugs from far into...

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

...correct, also has a big slug problem and tried the beer trap method (which works good) and the solution you tried already, putting in food and through them away. My chams love the slugs and hunt them down, no matter how small. And they keep coming and go, last months I haven’t seen any anymore.

    Help with husbandry questions

...can't be more specific. One breeding can produce 3-4 clutches spaced 3-4 months apart. In the unlikely event that she wasn't bred she will pass slugs, unfertilized ova. Slugs or unfertilized ova and what they look like. She will do this from time to time most of her life if she remains...

New enclosure layout/Deep Clean? Best way to do so?

...also have larger territories in the wild than we can give them. They don't have to sit on the same feces stained branch everyday. Deep cleaning also gives you the chance to root out some potential pests in your enclosure like spiders and slugs that can be hiding in and around your pots, etc.

New Jackson Chameleon Owner looking for help

...I'm not fully aware, first hand, of the special needs for a girl. From what I understand they don't "lay" eggs in a bin/plant base, but drop 'slugs'. Slugs are the equivalent of live stillbirths; unless the female was in contact with a male, then you might get a baby Jackson... I'll tag a...

    Slugs in bio active enclosure

I keep chunks of cork bark for the isopods to hide under & that is where some can always be found. When taking down bioactive set ups, I always find a good number hanging out in the drainage layer, even though mine are usually dry. @Sonny13 had a slug or snail problem & he may have some advice.

    Plant/garden people!

Any Gardners have tips for slug control? I’ve read a lot of ideas, but would love to hear first hand experiences?

New enclosure layout/Deep Clean? Best way to do so?

Hence the removing poop from leaves and such. I still see no point in sterilizing an otherwise poop free branch. I don’t sterilize the floors in my house 🤷‍♂️. Now I will if my kid poops on it though 😆. Their cages are like us living in houses, at least that’s how I imagine it heh. Also, having...

Good thing you mentioned that because i forgot @MissSkittles i was planning to buy snails from the store are those good?

    New chameleon

Snails and slugs are in principal great feeders, but only if they’re bred in captivity by yourself. Wild caught are extremely parasite loaded and make your sick like @MissSkittles already mentioned. I’ve own bred slugs inside my parsons enclosure and she loves them. She hunts them down the...

    Progress of my bioactive build

...the ones I bought plus will be using some from his old cage but need to completely wash out the soil for the tree since it has millipedes and slugs in there. The other plants attracts gnats as well. Also need to leave it intact for Rex to stay in there while I’m moving plants over. Then I’ll...

What is this and why is this happening?

tysm cuz when I looked up what it looked like, it just led to a bunch of slug threads and nothing relevant to my situation.

Large isopods for bioactive Cham enclosure

Yeah I hear mixed feelings on millipedes, mine got a little out of control, but didn’t hurt anything. They did do a great job cleaning.

Large isopods for bioactive Cham enclosure

Wow haha that’s awesome. I had millipedes and slugs in my money tree pot in the old enclosure. I planted the tree in the bioactive one but washed off all the roots. Idk I didn’t like the idea of millipedes in there haha if they come back though I won’t try to get rid of them I know they’re helpful.
