Definitely sure he is a he - his tarsal spurs are pretty large.
As for the temperature - today our high was 81, yesterday our high was 74 - same behavior on both days, at different times of the day.
My male Veiled has been acting a smidge strange the last few days, and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation? When I put Rango in his outdoor enclosure, he goes to the base of a potted plant, and starts to dig, and then puts the lower half of his body in the hole that he dug...
Lol - I guess I probably overstated my comfort on live bearers. I got a female Jackson's, and she was gravid - surprise, surprise. I was not home when she had them - she dropped 13, 3 never came out of the egg sac, and the 10 thrived for a few weeks, and then I lost 4. So, with less than 50%...
Thanks for your opinions everyone. I am looking forward to watching her through this process. I am thankful that she is a live bearer, as I have only experience with Jackson's babies. Egg layers kind of make me nervous. :)
Grace is a WC Werners Chameleon that I got from LLL. Age - unsure. They thought that she may be gravid. What do you think?
Your opinions would be appreciated...
Hello everyone.
I brought home a wc female Werner's today from LLL, and although I have searched high and low for information - I can only find basics on temps & humidity (Temps: 70's-high 80's, drops down to 60 at night, humidity: 70-90%). Can anyone offer any other info? Supplements...
Hello all -
I have a sub adult male Veiled that has that wonderful, nasty temperment that we all expect from Veileds. During the cold months, he is housed in an indoor 3x2x2 screen cage. During the warm months, we plan to house him in this outdoor cage, with lots of foliage of course...
My Veiled will not drink in front of me at all. His droppings are normal, so I know he is drinking, but I have never seen it. I mist the enclosure 3 times a day, and his drip goes 3-5 hours per day, but I have still never seen him drink.
Okay guys - good news, and bad. Rango's colors brightened up a bit today - he doesn't look nearly as drab as he has for the last few weeks, and I finally saw him drinking off the leaves - yeah!!
The bad news - at 2:45, I found him on his sleeping branch, with his eyes closed. :( So, I know...
I have mine hanging from a suction cup on the side of the enclosure. I poked a small hole in the side of the cup, and then attached it. My cup is very small though. Not sure if it will work with something larger. The crickets can jump out, and they can climb up the sides. It works for my...
Ah - great idea Carol. My enclosure is glass on two sides, and screen on two. The glass is on the sides that I would want to secure the branches... I would need a suction cup of some sort??
