He doesn't drink the drops from the leaves, or he doesn't when I watch him. I have only seen him drink from the waterfall.

My cham seems to be great at falling down as well - he sometimes tries to climb the meshed upside of the cage, and he almost always fails and lands on a plant.

I've heard that about glass, but I'm quite sure that's not it. He does that when we go near the cage, and when we open up the cage, he's not attacking us, he crawls on our hands. On the windowsill, he doesn't attack or tries to climb the window. Edit: I just bowl feeded him, very sucessfully...
