    We have pygmy eggs!!

Well one of my females layed eggs yesterday. I haven't dug them up yet because she still looked a little plump last night...could be my imagination. I don't know if they lay all at once or in stages. Where do you all get vermiculite or incubation medium?

    Timer for humidifier

I leave my cool mist humidifier on all day but adjust the settings so it puts out only a little mist. That way the humidity stays fairly even all day and the habitat isn't full of fog all the time. The only time humidity falls off is if the ceiling fan is on medium or high. But I do mist several...

    pygmy tongue issues

How did you manage to get its mouth open? I had a sick one that might have been saved if I could have done that. I was afraid of hurting it. But I wish I had an answer for you. Maybe try giving water drops with small needleless syringe.

    Breeding behavior?

I will keep at least one female with him. I haven't seen any females digging yet so pretty sure no eggs have been laid. And my females don't look very big yet although one of them looks a little plump. I just have to keep an eye on them. I also have one female that I think is dying from old age...

    Breeding behavior?

my vivarium It's a 55 gallon long aquarium with cool mist humidifier and 2.0 uvb linear lamp. I did see the smaller male try to start a fight this morning.....it was actually quite comical but I stopped it and moved the little guy to the other side of his habitat. He was gaping and jumping...

    Breeding behavior?

While I am new at chameleons and my brevs are my first, I have seen them mate on a few occasions. When I only had one of each, I would see the male do as you have seen. After the male stood on top of the female a couple times, they both retreated to separate sides of their habitat for a couple...

    More pygmys

Well I added 1.3 brev pygmys to my 1.1 brevs. The new ones are a bit bigger than the first pair. They drank right away though so they were really thirsty. They all went for cover right away so I covered the front of their new home so they won't get too over stimulated. I gave them some crickets...
