i had to make the difficult decision to put my beautiful boy down yesterday.
cypress was recently diagnosed with gout. i was giving him allopurinol, but he hated it so much that he prolapsed everytime i tried to give him the medication. he had stopped eating and drinking and was no longer...
hi all, i took cypress to the vet today and he does have gout. i’ll be giving him the medication the vet prescribed to him and hydrating him as much as i can to help ease any pain he might have. i will keep going as long as he wants to.
so just an update, we called them and their next open slot is on the 17th. we’re gonna call again early in the morning on monday the 10th to see if there’s any cancellations and we can get in sooner.
yes, they are. i’m thinking that i’ve been giving him too much D3 by accident. so i’m changing his D3 schedule for now.
if you remember, was the vet able to treat it?

hi again,
i thought my chameleon, Cypress, was going to be seeing the vet this friday, but i was mistaken and it’s next friday. they don’t have any earlier openings.
i’ve been doing quite a bit of research and i’m concerned that Cypress might have gout or pseudo-gout. i’m worried it might be...

hi y’all,
i’m worried that my chameleon might be developing MBD but i’m not entirely sure on what i’m doing wrong.
he’s had a small bump on the right side of his hip that the vet confirmed to be very minor MBD but it was pretty much healed and it wasn’t affecting him that much. but i’ve noticed...
so i took him to the vet today just to be safe and it was an injury but not from closing the door on his tail. it was something from his enclosure he managed to injure himself on which we’ve narrowed down and we’re gonna take care of that :)
hi everyone!
i’ve noticed bumps on my chameleons tail and was wondering if i should be concerned. he is still eating and drinking normally and doesn’t seem bothered when i poke at it.
