and the next question.......
regarding the heat lamp as its there to keep the heat (duh) this means the light is always on, does karma not need darkness at any point? or should i get a ceramic mat for the night time?
its way to cold in the uk to switch it all off i'd be waking up to an ice...
sat pondering last night
when cleaning towels and poop out does one take everything out to do it as i have quite a bit of foilage in my viv and cleaning isnt going to be a lift and change process????
also with lots of places for karma to hide how do i know if there are any crickets/worms...
sorry to be a pain but if the uv and heat lamps need to be outside the top of the viv is going to be really open/exposed, how do i keep the humidity/heat in?
what sort of heat lamp should i get, what about the uv strip light does that need to be outside too?
really want to keep it looking tidy as it is in my dining room :o
yes the light is in the cage im looking to cut a hole in the top when i have a lamp in monday
this is as the viv was sold to me in the shop....
ok will goto petshop monday and get a lamp
just changed the bulb for a white 60w bulb on the dimmer thermostat
got a most unimpressed look when i opened the door to take the red one out :(
will get a ceramic guard as the top is solid ,
also will try a plain lamp insted of the red but as you can see from the pic he seems happy on the branch lol :)
the branch is indeed a dead dry one well was until i washed it in bleach earlier. (followed by a good hosing down)
ladies and gentlemen karma and his new home
well here he is been out sorting stuff for his viv so you will see the before bare look and the new branched up look
now have spare lamps, branches, cricket box's, everything cost me a bleeding fortune :D
what do you think?
reptiglow 5.0 20w exi terra lamp, was new yesterday
will post a picture of the vivarium later when i have the branches in, he has basking spots on the foilage but want to give him more to occupy him :D
just been sat watching him eating worms and slurping water off the wall ... so i know...
