Yesterday we finally got our first chameleon.
I decided to let Dillon, My son, have a chameleon for his 18th birthday. He has been wanting one for many years but, we, Me and his dad, were a little intimidated. After months of research I decided it was time.
We have been waiting on this baby for several weeks and are so excited.
So, meet Zeke, 2.5 month old captive bred blue bar ambilobe panther chameleon.
I will try to put all his updates on here to have a place so we and see how much he grows. His first day He drank off a leaf first thing in his enclosure and ate 4-1/4inch crickets. Oh, I did forget to mention, first thing out of shipping he climbed up on Dillon's finger and pooped. LOL I think he marked him as his.
So, this morning lights on at 7am, he slept on a POTHOS leaf about 1/2 way down. He's so tiny it looked like a baby laying on a king size bed. 7:10am misted enclosure. Wow, that was kind of scarey. Got a little afraid when water started dripping off leaves he'd drown. He stayed under a leaf and when misting stopped he climb up the vine and drank off the leaf. He is so awesome. Looks like a great start to the day.
