Today was Ribfest. The Burlington Ribfest always falls on Labor day weekend. I believe it is said to be the biggest Ribfest in all of Canada, Though I haven't been to any anywhere else- so I cannot confirm the statements validity.
During a discussion on how anticipating this event is, and just how important it is to Burlingtonians, I thought of how it's pretty much "PETA Nightmare Day" (That's people for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, largely vegetarians/vegans, for those of you who don't know). I mean it's pretty much a celebration of how humans love to unnecessarily completely and utterly gorge themselves drunk on thousands and thousands of pigs, cows and chickens.
