Poppi's Upbringing--support team members welcome!

Woo Hoo!! So far, so good: Poppi has survived being in my care for a week now. I decided to start a blog to keep track of her upbringing and for help and suggestions with what I hope to be the raising of a healthy, normal veiled chameleon.

She is still fairly shy and won't eat or drink with anyone watching. She has even caught on to if I am watching using a mirror. If she can see our eyes, we must be watching her! Funny little girl. She will do her funny popping thing and then play statue or go to the top left corner of her viv and wait until we aren't paying attention anymore.

I know she is drinking and eating because her urates are nice and white. Some days the poo pellets are smaller, some days larger.

I want her to get enough food for healthy growth but don't want to over-feed her either. I have found so many different #'s of feeders, etc. all over the forum.

Right now, she gets about 20 flightless fruit-flies in the morning and about 10 tiny dusted crickets just after noonish. There is also a feeder bowl with a few calcium dusted, itty-bitty mealworms in it. I put in about 20 every three or four days. I'm not sure if the ff's are so small they can get out of the screen-top of her Exo-Terra viv. or if she is earing most of them but I do find drowned ones on the bottom also.

So, any opinions on how much she is getting to eat?
