my notes

My personal notes on chameleon care.

Noob test: I ask all noobs to buy a cricket keeper and 50 or so crickets. Try to keep them alive for a month focusing on gut loading watering and weekly cleaning.

Crickets
I use 4 large smokey clear plastic bins. The insides of the bin need to be shinny smooth so that the crickets can't get traction and climb. Each bin gets feed and watered every other day.

I use water crystals in a shallow dish. I refill it with fresh RO water as needed. I cycle out the water crystals every other week. I get my water crystals from Lowes. They are called "soil moist Granules". This is a hugh cost savings over store bought water crystals.

I gut load the crickets with bug burger, oranges, sweet potato, nori, and cricket crack.
