I picked up some more bags of Seachem Fluorite for the new aquarium. Getting expensive though- and I'm thinking of returning the 5 bags of gravel I have for an all fluorite substrate... I do however need to pickup a 30-40 foot heat cable to submerse beneath the gravel. This allows the roots to stay warm, nutrients to flow and the waste to go into the substrate through subtle water movements.
Anyways, The cable is going to be expensive, but the gravel was expensive, so I figure it'll balance out since the cable will be able to utilize every bit of the nutrients contained withing the clay fluorite substrate.
So far it's been a slow process, but I doubt the legendary Takashi Amano ever really rushed himself during one of his submersed creations.
