The hinged top layer allows for easy access to the interior for cleaning and decorating. A special bottom layer keeps chameleons off the bottom. With the framework complete I can fill the cage with vegetation.

I use this special layer on the bottom. It keeps your animals up out of their poop and provides a weak or blind animal with plenty of opportunities to find its way upwards where it should be going:
