Zanzibar The Magnificent Ambilobe - formerly Clint Eastwood

The most friendly chameleon I've owned so far, Zanzibar came to me from trd1215. I renamed him from Clint to Zanzibar but he's still the same awesome chameleon. As far as I can tell, Zanzibar orginated from Red Island and has some of the most amazing colors on any Ambilobe that I've seen.




I now have a clutch growing like weeds from Clint/Zanzibar so please PM me if you'd like to be put on a list for a baby of his!!

Splash from dr. Crossfire and ecoreef is also the product of the clint line as well as Scotty from crazyeyeschams. Their mother olive was a Clint girl bred to Spock to get those incredible red bodied bluebars. Sulu is a Clint offspring as well.

I wish these little boogers would hold still long enough to get a good shot! For now you'll have to be content with shots in their cage rather than with optimal lighting and backgrounds. I'll have to "jannb" it up later!

These guys are wiping out crickets like nobody's business. Each day I throw more and more crickets into the cage thinking "There! They won't finish all of these by the time I get off work!" ...and then I come home to hungry babies looking at me with sad puppy eyes

Thats awesome! Great to see more babies from Clint. Who did you pair him with?

I paired Clint/Zanzibar with a female from Suzi who's sire was 14K and her mother's sire was Odre-Ahy/ Oh My.

I'm really grateful for my time with Clint/Zanzibar even though initially I thought I had been sold a quickly dying chameleon. His cutaneous horns looked terrible and the dust from shipping really aggrevated their appearance. AFter a good shower and lots of feeding, I stopped freaking out. Long story short, he's been one of favorite chameleons I've ever owned. Thanks for that trd1215!

Lol i would never sell a dying chameleon and he always had those horns. I had him for about 2 years and he was the best! He is a great grandfather by now lol. I am glad he did great and gave you some awesome babies.

He is a fantastic looking chameleon! I love the yellow.
