Yemen cham wont open its eyes!

hi guys
i bought a baby yemen a few days ago, when we went to pick her up the guy had a few in a large viv and the one we were buying was in a food tub on its own and i did give it a little check over and at the time its eyes were closed. he told me he had only just put them in that viv and they were still getting used to the lights hence its eyes being closed. anyway its been 2 days now and it hasnt eaten anything and still the eyes are closed. i mist the viv 3 times a day, there is a mesh top on the viv and i put ice cubes there over the day so that there is water dripping into the enclosure (havnt seen it drink either) there are a lot of vines and climbing material in there along with a lot of fake vegetation. the temperature is around 90f in the basking area and lower in the cooler end of the viv. it has a a 10% UV bulb. is there anything im missing that could be causing him stress and to keep his eyes closed? i still have the number and address of the guy who sold it to me should i go round and question him? i hope this little one is ok.

Welcome to the forums. I keep veileds and wrote a blog for all that they need. You need to get everything correct for your little guy ASAP. He needs his eyes open to be able to see to eat. Everything in the blog has worked great for me for years. If your temp allows get her outside (not in a glass viv) for some natural UV. It works great on chams. Good luck with her.

thank you for the reply. everything seems fine in the enclosure. temps/humidity are all ok. she was like this when i got her and i havnt seen any sign of improvement. she did start shedding today but surely her eyes should have been open. she cannot see and she hasnt eat because of it. i contacted the man i got her from and he said he would have to get in touch with his breeder because he had no others with this problem.

ive misted her 3 times already today because of her shedding but i still feel something is wrong.

Where do you live? Can you take her outside?
