Wild deformed chameleon

woah, i didnt read the whole article so forgive if it said otherwise but i wonder if it was from accidental inbreeding

No justly, read the article:
"The high population density of F. pardalis in the Sambava region and the wide distribution along the whole north-eastern coast, without any obvious biogeographic barriers to gene flow among populations makes it highly unlikely that inbreeding induced this deformity."

Poor little dude.

I agree with the egg shifty thing. Must've got moved around in a bad position while he was still forming. :(

That is amazing, and goes to show that life will somehow find a way. I cant believe how good he looks for being so severely deformed.

Wow... and so sad

I bet the egg moved or something like that , maybe even rolled a bit in his case. Amazing how he made it so long... truely amazing creatures !

Wow I never thought I would enjoy reading a scholarly written article so much. I am so darn used to reading all of the psych articles for term papers lol. This was a nice change up. Thank you!

I'm not gonna lie, when I saw the first photo I uttered an audible exclamation of terror. Very interesting though. I love anomalies. Thanks for sharing!
