What to feed panther chameleon during cricket hunger strike?

Hey everyone, as my title says my cham is on a bit of a hunger strike but only towards crickets. Butter worms and meal worms he has been eating but I am worried about his nutritional intake as I have never really done much gutloading with worms. Is there anything else more nutritious I could be feeding him, or any way I could gutload his worms? The major downside is that I live in Canada so roaches are definitely out as they are illegal here.

And after that my question is how to I go about getting him back on track for eating crickets again?

Thanks!

Ouch!! If you can, I would try and get Silk worms. They are pretty nutritious. You might also be able to use stick insects, provided they are not illegal to own as well. As for getting him to eat crickets again, he may switch back in time, or a little bit of hunger is always a good motivator. :)

Super worms!!!! Be carfull though mine loves them so much that if I let him, that's all he would eat. You can keep them in an open Tupperware container. Make substrate out of ground grain, cereal, nuts things like that. Make it a few inches deep. Keep the substrate a few inches from the top of the container and they won't be able to escape. Add fresh fruits and veggies every few days. I keep 50 at a time in a 10x5x5 inch container and they last for a month or more and they don't die off like crickets.

my boy was the same and he will not touch crickets now.
his diet consists of dubia roaches, locust, silkworms, superworms ( only 2 supers per week tho as fatty) and wax worms ( only 1 or 2 per month as also very fatty).
dubia roaches are more nutritious than crickets too.they dont smell as bad as crickets and ive had no die off like you do crickets.they are alot easier to keep and breed and have a higher meat to shell ratio.
a varied diet is very important.:D

Force Feed?

You can force feed them by rubbing a cricket under der mouth and then have your finger by thir head so they cant get away, Next the chameleon will get annoyed and eventually eat the kricket or mealworm or whatever. :)

How old is he? Because if he is old enough you can just not feed him the worms for a few days and then offer only crickets. He will get so hungry he'll eat them and get over it most likely.

I wouldn't force feed. That is a last resort.
How old is your Cham? Keep offering different feeders, flies always get a good response from chams. Blue bottles or stable flies.
