Website building

So with all the people on here, i'm sure some of you have built websites yourself. How difficult is it to do? I'm not wanting anything to fancy. A page with Kinyongia care, and like most of the sponsors, where people can see the breeders, egg due dates and animals that are currently for sale.
I know a guy that builds websites for people, but he charges 599 for a 5 page site (400 for me) but no way i'm spending that much to make a site.

I think a vBulletin license is around $200 and then you have an entire forum.

Building a simple site is not hard, especially nowadays.

You can get your own semi-decent forum for free as well.

You could have something up in about 5min if you wanted.

In 30min, you could have it looking pretty good, and be fully customized.

theres tons of free sites based on templates that are super user friendly, and once u make one, you can then pay a low yearly fee to have a domain name..ive used webs and wix before, theyre great. otherwise, besides the pricing, if you use a user friendly program like dreamweaver whch is based on wysywyg (what you see is what you get) instead of html, its great as well, then you just have to host it.
