Speaking of hairy worms, most of us in the US have these pesky critters. What is the thought of feeding these to our chams?

Hosts: The fall webworm is known to feed on more that 100 species of forest and shade trees. In the eastern U.S., pecan, walnut, American elm, hickory, fruit trees, and some maples are preferred hosts; in some areas persimmon and sweetgum are also readily attacked. In the west, alder, willow, cottonwood and fruit trees are commonly attacked.

Those hairs would probably not go down easily. IF youve ever tried to pick up a hairy caterpillar you will know what I mean. That hair is there for defense, it will definetly cause some irritation. One butterfly larvae that can be fed off is the Brassica Butterfly, or Cabbage White buttefly, their larvae are green and about the size of a medium silkworm, the adults are also readily accepted.
